HuskerNation1
The 2019 season started with Martinez as the clear choice to lead the Huskers team. He was a Heisman darkhorse as well, yet he struggled for much of the season across the board, but especially with decision making. We saw some glimpses of what McCaffrey brings to the table, and I think its safe to say we will have a real QB race heading into the 2020 season. What do you all think? Quote Link to comment
Archy1221
If the race includes Martinez, Frost will lose half the fan base 3 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerNation1
Just now, Archy1221 said: If the race includes Martinez, Frost will lose half the fan base There is a lot of time between now and next season, but I don't think Martinez will be dismissed so easily by Frost. We have 5 months until the spring game and 9 months til the 2020 season opener. Quote Link to comment

Archy1221
I’m afraid your right. If Frost goes back with Martinez and he improves to actually be an average QB, that’s still not good enough in this type of offense where the QB is featured. Martinez isn’t tough enough mentally to start IMo 1 Quote Link to comment

NebraskaHarry
Make it a fair race but my eyes tell me Luke is better currently and will be better than all other QBs next year. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
broganreynik
There are three guys coming back that deserve a shot at QB1, with another guy coming in that could grab it. There’s zero reason to let Martinez hold the reins without a fight. 1 Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
McCaffrey needs to get bigger to be depended as the starting QB. He battled injuries playing in a limited role. I am excited about his athleticism and intelligence. Logan Smothers will be the wildcard. He might be the best combination of runner and passer that Frost has recruited through 3 years. 1 Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
My bet is AM will have procedures to clean up his shoulder and knee. This will provide an easy fallback as to why his play was worse than last year 1 1 2 1 Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
I’m concerned Frost is a head case when it comes to backup QBs because of his experience here. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
Packerhuskerfan
Frost is too married to Martinez. 2 more years of this, unfortunately. 1 Quote Link to comment

I believe it already came up in a presser earlier this year. It obviously impacted him and he's protecting Martinez. Detrimental to the team this season. Hopefully someone he respects calls him on it (TO, Ron Brown) because it potentially will rear its ugly head next year. 1 Quote Link to comment
Decked
Gonna be a long offseason in regards to this one. Have to think Luke improves his play and gains some weight too. At the very least I think he becomes 1B. Although that’s not good enough. Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
It won’t matter who the QB is if some other things, primarily offensive playcalling, don’t improve. We hear a lot about no fear of failure but the offensive playcalling reeks of it. I like Frost but he has been outcoached numerous times by coaches we would never consider hiring. His love affair with 2AM was baffling this season. 3 1 Quote Link to comment
