Saunders
Quote The Athletic: Jim Harbaugh’s 2nd act or last stand Depending on your perspective, the 2021 season is either Jim Harbaugh’s last stand or the beginning of his second act. Either way, narrative possibilities abound. With Michigan’s program stuck in the doldrums, the coach once known as “Captain Comeback” will be trying to pull off a career-defining turnaround. That would be a great story, wouldn’t it? Unfortunately for Harbaugh and Michigan, reality hasn’t followed the fairy-tale script. Harbaugh’s teams flirted with greatness a few times, but unmet expectations have overshadowed the program’s achievements. After his first losing season at Michigan — and only his third in 17 years as a coach — Harbaugh enters the 2021 season with the clock working against him. https://theathletic.com/2510677/2021/04/19/jim-harbaughs-2nd-act-or-last-stand-michigan-enters-pivotal-season-with-qb-defense-questions/ Quote CollegeFootballNews: Michigan Wolverines 2021 Preview Forget about Ohio State. It’s like blaming an SEC team right now for not being better than Alabama, or an ACC program for not being able to get by Clemson, or any fast foot restaurant’s fries being compared to McDonald’s. It’s not fair. Take the rivalry factor out of all of this and accept that Ohio State has become a bigger monster than ever that’s showing no signs of slowing the roll. Of course, if you’re the Michigan head coach and you don’t beat that team at least once in a while, you’re soon no longer the Michigan head coach. But again, that’s not really fair – even for Michigan. Ohio State is Ohio State. That’s not the problem … for now. 27-24 to a bad Michigan State team. Losing to Indiana by 17, being totally outclassed by a mediocre Wisconsin, and being dropped by a losing Penn State team 27-17 – that’s the problem. For all of Harbaugh’s issues over his era, he has almost always been able to beat the teams he’s supposed to beat. That might seem like a low bar for Michigan, but there was a painful stretch before Harbaugh took over when taking down the winnable wasn’t always a given. While the talent is certainly there, it's up to Harbaugh and his re-tooled coaching staff to put that talent the best position to win in 2021 in what is shaping up to be a critical season for Harbaugh's tenure in Ann Arbor. His future may ride on how successfully Macdonald can implement his new defensive scheme. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/michigan-football-wolverines-prediction-preview-2021 More to come... 2 1 Quote Link to comment

VectorVictor
The fans damn well better show up and show out. No blue hairs on their butts--they better be up and screaming, or go back to the old folks home to watch. Michigan is a game that, if we pull our head from our rectum re: Special Teams, we have enough horses to win. Quote Link to comment
HuskerNation1
So Nebraska is playing its best ball since Frost has been the coach, and Michigan is having one of their best seasons with Harbaugh. Early predictions on the score for next weeks game? Quote Link to comment
