This search has not been fun like the last one. Not nearly as much stuff floating around on twitter and FB. This has been really disappointing so far

Not even your wife's Facebook? ;)

The last search wasn't even a true search......it was a "quest" for Scott Frost.

Which, makes me feel that Trev is handling it professionally and appropriately.  Now, let's hope the results show that too.

Cut to the chase:

Trev will make a really good hire. Some will like it, some won’t, most will get behind the new coach. In 2-4 years when it’s obvious things haven’t improved enough for everyone’s liking, most everyone will hate him and blame Trev, a few will want to give him more time and then we’ll be right back here again.

In 2-4 when it's obvious things haven't improved Trev Alberts will be gone too.

Trev is a bridge AD anyway.  According to a number of people, they almost had to beg him to come in and "right the ship".  If is assumed that he will only be here for a handful of years anyway.  Apparently he has already built a retirement house and was ready for the next chapter.  This hire will probably be his only and his last regardless of the success of the team.  This hire will primarily secure and dictate his "legacy" as AD

When its quiet behind the scene's I feel like someone is working their so called magic to make a great hire. I believe that Trev understand's that we need a head coach with experience and one that will recruit and develop like crazy. He knows the advantages and disadvantage this state has and will present that to any coach that decides to take the job. The coach that does decide that they want to come here has to know that this is no easy task to win here.  But once you do start winning then things will be much easier for him and the coaching staff.
