  2. Dom must be lying. I've been told for decades that Kirk hates Nebraska. Dom sounds like he's a good father. Didn't push and made his son respect the people and the process.

  3. I did that in 2016 and look where that got us. Trump must be defeated.

  4. This is pretty incredible. It's like looking into an encyclopedia article of the mind of a person so consumed with the party line message that they will repeat anything demanded by it. It's so completely expected and unsurprising. Such is the nature of current right wing politics, and why appealing to them is a pointless cause.

  5. As expected. This is not a serious party intent on governance, it's just a power-grab seeking chaos for political gain. I don't know how anyone can continue to vote for these people. What are you thinking?

  6. Sometimes a person just needs to be very, very pragmatic/ practical. There are many things I don't like about reelecting Biden but the Dems have given us no one else. It may very well in the end be a vote for a Harris presidency. But with that said, electing Trump is by far the worse possible choice. If I'm in a state where voting for a 3rd party candidate might inadvertently elect Trump - I'm running away from that 3rd party candidate - even if that person is preferred. We got to look at the greater good and in this election cycle, the greater good is to not elect trump. I hope the courts remove this threat but until that happens this is the only way to go IMHO.

  7. So the explanation is the strawman of “people” didn’t have a problem with Bin Laden or Hussein etc. being interviewed but now they do with Putin. It’s like clockwork, you immediately fall in line with the far right MAGA talking points of the day but when pressed your position often softens. Begging us to “believe what I say, not what I do”. I guess I get my kicks out of making you walk back your crazier BS.

All due to Mr Chaos Trump Nikki is right - can this nation stand 4 years of Trump chaos? 9. For goodness sakes can we stop pretending like we have to treat Tucker Carlson like a legitimate journalist? None of the people TV personalities from Fox News are. They’re professional mouthpieces who get paid gobs and gobs of many to be the faces of the right-wing propaganda machine. The framing for the purpose of the “interview” is idiotic and gives the game away. It’s a scripted stunt. You think a dictator like Putin sits down and gets challenged by real journalists with real questions? Hell, our leaders here in the free world barely do that. No way in hell Putin does. He disappears people who look at him wrong. Tucker is there to serve his purpose and dance his little puppet dance. Pretending otherwise is laughable.

  15. Lol. I didn't realize Gov Newsome didn't realize people can just take stuff without paying and there are no consequences. I guess they don't watch the news. Glad he thinks it's funny. Wonder what he will do now that he knows he is taking the blame. He said he had the encounter with the Target employee after seeing a shoplifter. "He picks it up and keeps walking out as we're checking out," Newsom said of the shoplifter he said he witnessed, he then went on to what the employee said, "The woman says, 'Oh, he's just walking out,' 'He didn't pay for that' I said, 'Well, why don't you stop him?' She goes, 'Oh, the governor,'" Newsom said that worker did not recognize him at first. "The governor lowered the threshold,'' Newsom said the worker told him, "'There's - there's no accountability,' https://abc7news.com/gov-gavin-newsom-at-target-ca-retail-theft-shoplifting/14379506/

  18. Yes! He is clearly loaded up on meds, I get it, my Dad is his age and his body is quitting on him and at times his mind is not 100%. My dad probably takes 15 different pills per day. And he is retired and gets to nap all day and read books. I can't imagine what the schedule is like for the President of the US. Sadly, we have to wait 4.5 more years until there are 2 new people.

  22. Putin wouldn't dare sit down with a respected Western journalist. He knows he'd get eviscerated. So he does these safe "interviews" with compliant patsies who ask questions that (accidentally, of course) give Putin the opportunity to get his message out. At least real journalists are calling out this slug.

  24. It does make one wonder how much more effective Republicans could be if they nominated competent individuals to posts like the RNC Chair. Given their systemic advantages, it's amazing that they've let some bozos hold positions of power. However, it's likely that this is not compatible with the MAGA movement. Elevated positions within the party require fielty to Trump. Competency often goes by the wayside in lieu of perceived "loyalty". Such is the Republican Party squandering massive advantages.

  25. Morons just failed their Mayorkas impeachment vote. Apparently one Democrat they didn’t expect to vote showed up and tipped the scales to no. What an absolute clown show of a party. I can’t believe there are actually people who expect these idiots to be able to trip over their own dicks long enough for to do anything useful for the country.

  29. Odds makers originally set the line at 3.5. ESPN BPI predicts Northwestern by 4.7, Bart Torvik has Northwestern by 4.3 with a predicted score of 75-71. Based on what is above I'd say the irrational fans are driving the line. I'm not saying computer predictions are perfect, but they should be impartial. The only home game Northwestern has lost this season is to Chicago State (the game after they beat Purdue).

  31. I agree with the first half of Tucker Carlson's teleprompter rationalization. It absolutely makes sense to learn more about the leaders and people we are paying to fight and kill. A good journalist will let their subject tell their story, while realizing it isn't simply "the other side of the story" but requires skill and considerable daring to challenge them on a factual basis. As mentioned, Putin has been interviewed many times by tougher reporters. As a KGB vet with an impeccable ear for propaganda and history of murdering opposing voices, Putin is pretty masterful at getting what he wants out of playing to Western media. He has saved his post-Ukraine slot for Tucker. And yes, plenty of other despots have sat down for interviews with western journalists. Did people have a problem with that? Some sure did, especially if they thought the dictator was using the interview for propaganda purposes, which they are 100% of the time. It is mitigated somewhat when the interviewer is a Christine Amanpour type who asks the fearless questions everyone wants to ask to the despots face. Does anyone remember softening their views on "the other side of the story" when they learn where Arafat, el-Assad, bin Laden, or Slobodan Milosevic is really coming from? More to the point, imagine a CNN reporter getting an exclusive with Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and letting him ask why U.S. taxpayers are spending billions arming a country that is engaging in apartheid and genocide against its own people. Would these same Tucker Carlson defenders absolutely blow a nut? As for the rest of the non-Tucker Carlson media lying to the American people with a false, manufactured narrative, here's that narrative: Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine as part of his non-secret ambition to reconstitute at least some of the Soviet empire. Vlodymir Zelensky, a former comic actor charged with revamping a notoriously corrupt Ukrainian government, has overseen a surprisingly successful defense against a much superior military, leading a people who passionately oppose Russia's ambitions in the name of self-determination. While the U.S. and other countries were quick to supply arms and aid to Ukraine, the protracted war has put a strain on everybody. While Russia and Putin should be embarrassed, they soldier on. Zelensky will say and do anything at this point to secure what he needs to defend his country, while international attention drifts to new threats and flashpoints. The war has reignited old Cold War alignments, but the governments that support Russia's "side of the story" are a small collection of U.S. adversaries including Iran, Syria, and China. Former and potential future U.S. president Donald Trump has broken tradition by siding with Putin for reasons Trump himself has never made clear, beyond, perhaps, his admiration for political strongmen who flatter him. Many in the Republican party and conservative media, like Tucker Carlson, have followed suit. At least that's what I've learned from the mainstream media the past couple years. If Tucker Carlson wants to tell me which part of the above I got wrong, I promise to listen to the smirky little motherf#&%er.

  32. Okay. So why is it funny that posters have a problem with Putin being interviewed? Whether or not people like him have been interviewed for decades really isn’t an explanation of your amusement. So why is it funny in this instance? If someone didn’t have an issue with Hussein being interviewed, if someone didn’t have a problem with Bin Laden being interviewed, if someone didn’t have a problem with any of the Iranian leaders being interviewed, if someone didn’t have a problem with…….well you get the point, but now have a problem with Putin being interviewed because he will spew his own propaganda then that’s funny. Why does my amusement pain you so much that you have now reached the arguing for no reason stage of the discussion once again? You do understand we both agree the interview will be pointless and we both agree Tucker shouldn’t be doing the pointless interview yet you want to argue over the word “funny”

  33. Hey, I can't stand the woman. But, since I despise both parties, any person in her position is crap to me. They don't care about truth and only gaining power for their party. But, it was virtually impossible for her to do her job once the party became a cult behind their dear leader. Everyone was required to profess their devotion to him, or they are excommunicated from the party.

I expect a fifth guy who will be ranked higher than all those previously mentioned, but I am not sure who that is yet.

  36. I didn’t say you had a bunch of knowledge about Putin. But you do know who he is, what he has done, and you still seem to think it serves some purpose for him to be interviewed by someone from the US. IDK about the R party being in the tank for Putin but Tucker is and a biggly portion of the most vocal MAGAs sure have been. Since when did being patriotic become giving Putin the benefit of the doubt, wearing a red trucker cap and flying a f#&% Biden flag? The party you support is by far the biggest problem in this country. Full stop.
