  1. Looking at the team objectively, unless we can win out the regular season, this season is already a failure by most peoples' standards. But if this staff can figure it out, as well as the players, by the end of the season, I'll be extremely enthusiastic going into next year. Most of our playmakers are Jr's this year, and there is a lot of young talent that should add to the depth at most positions.

Redux, I like you. I really do. But to think the addition of the David teind will turn anything around is out there. Has the Dline play been very concerning? I would say no.

Davis twins* they won't make that big of impact next year, or they would already be on the field this year.

With that said, if we don't at least make it to a bowl game this year, I'd support a move to clean house and start over. I'd also probably support another year of Riley just to be clear.

  2. defense did not look good in the 4th quarter, but they were obviously gassed due to lack of depth, and the offense left them out to dry. My opinion is we should have passed on third down and tried to get the first. What do u think?

    1. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

Nah. You gotta make them use up the timeouts. My problem isnt with that. Its with the lack of creativity of the actual playcalls, who the back was, and the seemingly total lack of urgency to go out and win the game as opposed to playing not to lose.

    2. Redux

      Redux

I think the play we called on 3rd and 7 was awful. You don't pass there though. You at least try a toss to the right to chew up a couple more yards and seconds. Way better shot at getting the first than straight at the pile.

  3. If the Huskers lose this weekend again, we will officially be in Husker football purgatory. Hey, at least the volleyball team is good!

  4. absolute worst thing Ive ever seen. losing to a sh#t team because we refuse to run the ball... not to mention the worst clock management Ive ever seen...

  5. I find it hilarious that the other GOP candidates' only chance is to take shots at Trump. Which in turn works against them, because he doesn't try to deny anything, is completely transparent, and we continue to learn more and more about his views on politics while the others are doing nothing but trying to attack him. Sucks to suck, politicians.

The number one reason I'm going to vote for him is because he understands money and is the best candidate to solve our national debt problem, or at the very least, at least make a dent in it. A close second reason is that he isn't bought. His views are what's best for the country, not just a few donors and special interests.

      WoodyHayes1951

There is no way to make a dent in that kind of debt that compounds. Paying off the interest every period would be a miracle. Personal debt is the biggest problem with the economy and neither side wants to deal with it.

  6. Anybody else a little dissatisfied with Newby as RB? Maybe I'm just really used to Abdullah still, but I kind of wish they would have gave Wilbon an extended look on Saturday as well.

I thought Newby did great. Not sure he's much better than Wilbon though. Or Adam Taylor. We're loaded at IB!

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Not dissatisfied. Newby did a good job. I just like Wilbon's style and talents a little bit more. I'm also a big Imani Cross fan. Newby has his strengths though too.

      The Dude

No. He's not perfect. He occasionally dances too much when he could just plant his foot and go. However, he's coming off the best game of his career so far. So while there are things to nitpick, I wouldn't say I'm dissatisfied with 198 rushing. That's not the right word at all.

  7. Coach Bray is really high on Bando. I hope he has a breakout year for us!

      Lux

I get a weird feeling from him also, zoogs. But form another standpoint, it is interesting how he is building a brand and culture of his own. I see hats shirts mottos etc. And a wr lifestyle and culture within itself. Even if a staff he is on goes under he, personally, has a sellable product to a new employer. And it is becoming a proven product-- 5 former players drafted or playing in the pros?

  10. So during the spring game when VV and Collins are busting through the line, what reaction do you think will be greater: Excitement at how good our DTs will be this year, or panic about our offensive line?

  14. People are giving Wisconsin students flack for wearing shirts that say corn is the worst vegetable ever by saying corn is a grain. Depends on the type of corn. Field (yellow dent) corn is a grain, but sweet corn is a vegetable. Hence, no reason to give Wisky fans a hard time.

  17. I'll say it now - USC will not be that good next year. They have lots of speed and talent, but depth is going to be an issue, and lack of discipline will lose them a couple games as well.

Eichorst does his job very professionally. I guess he could be more visible around the players but that's not *his* job, that's the coaches' job.

Bo didn't do his job well enough, and got fired, and can't handle it. All there is.

  23. Barney Cotton and John Garrison set to be assistants at UNLV. Good for them.
