I understand that kids of football players are "around football at a young age", but wow, is the coaching profession such a nepotistic profession.  It's also a tight-knit group, so they love to take care of their own.  Once you get into that inner circle, you and your kids never have to leave it.

I don’t think “intentional” has anything to do with it. It would be nice if they could consider all the circumstances but it’s pretty much just a black or white issue. It seems like the wrong call very often but maybe it’s necessary for player safety. Not sure how you can let the pile driver go and even snicker about it while making such a fuss over targeting. The rules and their application need some work.

I think it's fairly easy to tell what is/isn't intentional. I think he was in the process before the receivers head dropped to his level. It just didn't look malicious to me.

We'll That's just it, it doesn't matter if it's intentional or malicious or not. That has no bearing on the call. If through any circumstance you lead with the head or contact the head, they're gonna call it. There are so many times it just isn't avoidable or is actually caused by the other player. That's what makes it so hard to take.

Man, another one off my short list for Husker HC. I feel like Frost is a done deal, but I won't believe it until I see him at the press conference. I just can't imagine Moos waiting this long and losing all these candidates to other schools if Frost wasn't N.
