I feel you, @Redux. After the NIU loss, my Cowboys got blown out by the Donkeys. Then after the demoralizing defeat on Saturday, the Cowboys managed to s#!t the bed and blow another second half lead.

Gary Anderson would have been due $12.7 million from his contract, but so the school & players could "move on" he waived it? No way. There's a Paul Harvey moment coming from this story.

About 90% of the people posting on here right now sound drunk & miserable.

Can't wait for the wave of name change requests for these new Frost-oriented accounts that are being created these past few days.

The downtown location of Lazlo's had a fire this morning. No word on damage yet, but fire crews seem to have gotten there pretty quickly and contained the damage.

Hugh Hefner has died.

There will be a press conference today at noon to announce charges of fraud and corruption in college basketball. Federal criminal charges have been brought against ten people, including four college basketball coaches, as well as managers, financial advisors, and representatives of a major international sportswear company.

Sounds like LaVonte David's injury isn't as bad as initially feared. They were afraid he was going to be out 4-6 weeks, but the MRI makes it look like it'll be much quicker.

That "1990s" comment was said tongue-in-cheek, but it'll be the cynic's takeaway from that entire press conference. Here we go.

Holy crap you guys. Video from the Mexico earthquake.

My sources tell me NIU is wearing Surrender Whites today. Huskers will be in their traditional home jerseys.

There are now FIVE Garth Brooks concerts scheduled for Lincoln due to ticket demand. I'm not even a fan of his music, but that's amazing.

In good Husker news over the weekend, the #12 Husker Volleyball team swept #11 UCLA not once, but twice. The #22 soccer team trounced Pitt 3-0.

Ohio State's pass defense is worse than ours. We're 129th in the country. They're 130th, by 13 yards.
-
Anyone rethinking those Diaco-centric names yet? 906 yards of offense & 78 points in six quarters.

Why are natures most destructive things also some of its most beautiful? Irma, and Harvey before it, gave us some fantastic images. Wildfires are destroying tens of thousands of acres out west, but the imagery from some of the photographers covering them is amazing.

Nebraska is going to retire Jordan Larson's number at the Minnesota match this year. She'll become the 8th Husker Volleyball player to have her number retired.
Not bad for a kid from small-town Nebraska.

Did we ever get an answer about the 10-second runoff at the end of the first half?

Davis did rough the passer, he hit the QB back into the Tackle and then the QB fell over. That one was more a foul that it was not.
Also my understanding that as long as a helmet is not forced off someones head because of a foul that is caused (hands to the face or facemask), then the runoff should have happened.

Great news from Arkansas State's Head Coach Blake Anderson after his wife's hurried surgery on Monday:

Sous vide machine experiment #5. French Dip made from previously sous vide'd chuck roast. It was excellent. This is exactly what this machine was made for.

Be sure to sear the meat after cooking sous vide, which you probably are, but I know a couple people who weren't. Also, the texture/moisture varies greatly depending on cooking time and temp. Chef Steps website talks about the time/temp for a lot of meats and how they turn out as far as texture and moisture. And just to make you hungry:
