  1. Good grief, Alshon Jeffrey is a horrible interview....

He has head trauma from when Alfonzo Dennard punched him in the helmet.

  2. NU's goals are still intact. Despite the loss, NU showed that it deserves to be in the conversation of being a top 10 team

We lost to a 2 loss team in our division. We would have to win out to have a shot at a division title and top ten ranking. Highly unlikely, not impossible, but not banking on it.

How am I not being calm.

A 2-loss team whose losses have come to current #2 Michigan and #6 Ohio State by a single score. Wisconsin wasn't some cake walk team.

    4. ZRod

      ZRod

And a loss in OT at their place no less. This team still has a shot.

  3. FPI gave Nebraska the least likely chance to win out of any unbeaten power 5. 0.2%

1/500. To win five games. If we win the next two those odds will go to about 1/2.

  4. Don't trigger me! I should never feel bad or offended ever. Cuz that's the way life is. A walk in the park with no adversity.

  5. Health insurance premiums going up 25% damn that's getting too affordable...gawd.

They do have long lines and wait times. Which will be another majot obstacle Knap. I haven't looked much into ACA since it was signed, but we all knew the fatal flaw was the lack of control over rising premiuns. The only way tonfix that is regulations, like it or not. Until the price is equal for the same procedure in the same genral area we are going to have issues.

      I hadn't checked your link.

It's nice to see other people recognizing this. My wife and I are trying hard to take responsibility for our own health and our children's health and to get out of this system of just taking a pill for everything.

That said, health care costs and insurance premiums are taking a huge toll on our financial outlook personally. It is very sobering.

  6. I'm starting to feel like 2016 is a mirror image to 2012. It's Alabama and....everyone else. Someone like a Michigan or Clemson will make it to the NC and get blasted in the same way that Notre Dame did in 2012

    1. Moiraine

      Moiraine

Hope not. They look really great though. Notre Dame didn't impress me much during that season though. I remember them having a lot of close games.

Nebraska might need to put up 50+ just to win...

  8. Funny thing is that regardless who becomes president, less than 20% of the American population will have voted for the winning candidate.

I think you guys really nailed it when you said that it's important to care about local and state elections.

Hell, even your Congress member. Take a look at their record. If they're not representing you the way you want, vote for someone else. It blows my mind that Congressional approval is so low and yet the same people continue to just get reelected.

Voting in local and state elections is really how government gets changed.

Yeah, that low turnout % is sad. I'll try to help things out by voting two or three times!

  9. Wisconsin is going to be battle tested. People always say that a tough stretch will beat a team up. I've never bought into that.

  11. "Clown" sightings have reached Nebraska. Haha! Sighting in North Platte. The most obvious and likely place of one in Nebraska.

  12. ErecRILE dysfunction, Matty? Take a little Riagra?

The Husker win was a real emotional hit on Oregon. I think they're good and the winner of that game took all the momentum going forward

I thought you were being a little overly dramatic a couple weeks ago when warning how bad they might be. Unfortunately it's starting to look like you were right.

  15. Colorado just dumping gasoline on Oregon State right now. Holy moses when was the last time CU had a lead like this against a conference opponent?

The Buffs are decent this year. Hung with Michigan for over a half.

They still suck in my book though. lol

  16. How awesome is it that Texas thought they had turned a corner by beating a terrible Notre Dame, only to be exposed.

Flag football defenses playing tackle football. OSU with 3 blocked extra points. Texass might want to go Oregon and go for two every time.

  17. It's just crazy to me how fast life goes during football. I can't believe we're over half done in high school and 33% done in college.

Ha! Even more so this week when Wazzu puts up 1000. I'm not looking forward to the DB's getting torched for 50 completions. Leach has done that on BETTER Oregon secondaries. UW after WSU. UW looking to break a streak of losses. Oregon may be 2-4 after next week. YIKES!

    3. NUance

      NUance

I really mulled over that game. Who to pick? You just know every PAC12 team is laying for the Ducks after getting crushed by them for the past decade or so. Still, hard game to pick...

    4. Scratchtown

      Scratchtown

If Falk is on his game. Its game over for UO. Hopefully the Oregon D can buckle down. If they give up less than 35 they can win.

  18. Very possible NU could be in the top 10 next week. 3 top 10's will lose this week. Others in intriguing matchups. With a dominant Nebraska win. I'd say NU moves up to around #11

Whatever ... I don't think we are a Top 30 team at this point in the season. Looks like we will have a decent record through week 7, as many of us thought. I think reality hits down the stretch and we finish out of the Top 20. Hope not.

    3. NUance

      NUance

Top 30? lol. Good gravy, man. You must be joking.

    4. Moiraine

      Moiraine

The only way someone would think we're not top 30 material is if they don't understand how bad the bottom half of teams are. Even with a 6-7 record we were probably in the top 55 of teams.

  19. Wednesday! Football is a day away! Love Thursday night football!!!

    4. NUance

They beat the Florida A&M Rattlers. And we all know how dangerous rattlers are!

  21. 550 yards on NW's defense is impressive you guise. Maybe didn't have the amount of points you wanted but, that game was dominated by NU. Good win to build on.

    1. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

Well, I don't like what ifs and shoulda beens but we should've had 38 points. 38-13 would more accurately represent how this game really went. Pretty tough when you fumble at the goal line twice for touchbacks. Once or twice in a season maybe...but twice in one game? Kinda freakish.

    2. Scratchtown

      Scratchtown

Well now they're out of the way JJ. ;)

  23. Unreal catch by CU receiver. TD CU and takes the lead back 41-38 (2pt was good)

  24. Oregon has taken the lead. 38-33. Late 3rd Qtr

    1. Born N Bled Red

      Born N Bled Red

No its not. We need Oregon to win every game. It directly impacts our stength of schedule and the national perception of our team.

  25. Holy Colorado. These guys look very good. Oregon can't do anything to stop them. CU still hasn't punted. 33-17 right now.

Surprised when pressured he was getting destroyed in our game. Their starter was a pain in the rear for us. They are a good team however and it seems he adjusted. Decent D also, can bring pressure.....o nice turnover there.
