  1. If I see a National Title Game that is K-State vs Notre Dame I will probably have a hard time convincing myself to not find out what my gun tastes like. If we play K-State this year, they would not beat us. Us and tOSU are the only teams in the conference with the personel to play in the Big Ten and the Big Twelve.

I think we would beat them 3 out of 10 times

      PuttinUp6

So we struggle against rushing QBs and you are hoping for Collin Klein?

    4. EZ-E

      EZ-E

That unathletic kid that is a far cry from a rushing QB? Yes. Given four weeks for Bo to prepare for KState, we beat them. KState has played one team that is even remotely dedicated to the run and that is North Texas. And that is why that one was close until the end. We would have no trouble scoring on KState.

  2. If I were guys like Nathan Gerry, DJ Singleton, Harvey Jackson, Corey Cooper, Imani Cross, King Frasier, or even Charles Jackson I would take the crap that I am reading on here as motivation. Sure, we lost McWilson and Heard, but we have PLENTY of talent on campus and coming in. One player and another that wasn't even here yet does not make or break our football team.

Saying anyone will be better than O'Hanlon is a very tall order and I am serious. We haven't had a safety do his job and better understand Bo's scheme than O'Hanlon. I do in fact believe that Gregory will give us the biggest impact right away though.

  3. If someone would run me an ice cold brew to my office tonight. Any Miller-Coors product will do. I'll be forever in your debt.

      MLB 51

I wouldn't be caught dead buying anything Miller-Coors. Anheuser-Busch on the other hand.

  4. If this is the best WR unit in the nation they sure are scraping the bottom of the barrel for WRs in CFB these days. Worst game I've seen them play since Gilmore was here.

QB has a lot to do with that EZ. I'm sorry. But i just cant get back on the Taylor bus. Just cant. QB play affects EVERYTHING. It's just not there.

    2. suh_fan93

      suh_fan93

And it's always been like that too imo. Taylor isn't capable of being on the same page as his receivers. He never has been.

    3. EZ-E

      EZ-E

If you are a D1 WR and the ball hits your hands you catch it. I don't wanna hear these "bad throw" calls. Has Taylor been perfect? No, but too many balls have been dropped that we have to have to extend drives

  5. If we could license MJ we could license Cash. The MJ estate has some of the most powerful entertainment lawyers in the business around them in Pat Armstrong and Larry Stessel. (Saw it on a status a ways down. I thought the thought needed its own status :)

  6. If we ever went play action when Cross is in the game it would go for a TD from anywhere on the field. I don't know if it's even in the playbook.

Had we gone with a true zone read play on 3rd and 3 on their five yard line TA WALKS into the endzone and we put that game away early. No clue why it's manditory that every time he's in he gets the call.

  9. If you want some good X's and O's talk go check out JMFBd thread on defensive adjustments. Give your educated opinion on why its tough for us to stop the run from the shotgun.

    1. It'sNotAFakeID

      It'sNotAFakeID

Just like in NCAA. It's hard to stop the run out of the shotgun.

Every team has issues with it. Ours, I am convinced are systematic.

  10. If you would have told me we would be -2 turnover margin and only scored 17 points I would have told you that a loss was more than likely. Hats off to the defense. Best game all year.

EZ, I like your post. My hats are off to the defense as well. However, I think the biggest "hats off" are to the fact that Michigan really is that bad. If we had a -2 turnover margin and only 17 scored points against a good team, we would have lost and a bit better team then good would have been a blowout loss ... as I see it.

    4. EZ-E

      EZ-E

My thing is that when you look at the environment that we just played in with a freshman QB and a very youthful defense there is nothing you can take away from them.

  11. Ignorant Iowa fan "Stanzi is better than TMart, Stanzi doesnt choke under pressure." EZ-E "The Wildcats say hello!!!"

  12. Illinois plays right into Wiscy's defense's hands. Can't allow Wisconsin's LBs to play as close to the LOS as they are.

Maybe not. But these kids know the rules to keep their scholly when they sign up. If they don't want to earn their pay (scholly) then they get cut (fired). Works the same way in a job. Its more fair than the boyscouts would have you believe. It is the way the game is going and if we want to be competitve then we better keep up, like it or not.

    3. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

HuskerB. I say this with animosity. It just just an argument on my part. "Cutting the dead weight" is just a chicken sh#t way of doing things. Who's responsible for the young man getting offered the scholarship and being convinced to come to campus in the first place? The coaches. Then, the the player "doesnt work out", the coaches get off by cutting his scholly and kickin him to the curb and why? Becuase he could run as fast as they thought. This is one issue that...

    4. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

He is probably doing it legit, but there is a difference between an SEC program and Nebraska, as someone probably posted already in this long comment list. SEC=1 year scholly, Nebraska= 4 years automatically. We don't cut because someone doesn't live to their expectancy. SEC needs to care about the kids more than football.

  16. Indiana and tOSU are the only offenses left I am afraid of and I say that with a straight face.

Let me rephrase, in the entire conference, tOSU and Indiana have the scariest offenses.

The bigger question is will Kevin Wilson be there when we play them?

    4. EZ-E

      EZ-E

Kevin Wilson is a Big 12 head coach. I could also see him getting a job like Colorado or Washington is Sark leaves.

  17. Iowa fans are the scum of the earth and should be treated as such. I was too young to experience Colorado fans at their finest, but if they were like this, I hate them quite a bit.

Last time I checked, Iowa never had a nationally-televised game stopped in the middle of a quarter to kick out an entire student section for physically assaulting a team and officials with projectiles.

      Just sayin'.

      carlfense

These so called rivals are pretty quiet until they beat NU a few times. I'm thinking about MU and CU. Iowa hasn't received a regularly scheduled NU beating for too long.

  21. It's going to take the best game of the year on both sides to win this football game against Michigan. Grow up freshman. In a hurry. This could be the biggest most rowdy environment you've ever seen.

Being on the road will be tough, but Michigan turns the ball over a little bit. I like what Pelini can scheme against a Borges offense, but again....on the road is always tough. And of course, we are young.

    3. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

Michigan's gotta be so damn down emotionally, I think we have a real chance. They have 2 conference losses and virtually no chance to win the division with Ohio St still to play. Not to mention, they know as well as anyone how much of a fail theyve been this year. I'm not expecting to godawful rowdy.

    4. tmfr15

      tmfr15

If we can hold up in the middle, I am confident, but it is going to be a tough road atmosphere. Nothing to do, but just go in there and let it all hang out. Sounds kind of like what they did on 11 straight possessions by NW.
