I would say UCLA "BIG" but that is the problem, usually when think something is a lock, it goes the other way!

funny, I think the same thing as True whenever someone like Cruz or a mindless teabagger posts around here.

Funny? That is f'ing hilarious. Of course it's only a one sided problem. That explains everything.

More than a few DJs were insisting (no govt = no fcc) so they were swearing up a storm (while bleeping themselves just in case)

JJ--people like yourself that act like you don't know that these monuments would be closed, that's who. This wasn't unexpected and makes perfect sense to those that have any.

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

mattmg- People with common sense should wonder why they would go out of their way, at additional expense, to block access to monuments that otherwise do not have any access limitations. Our tax dollars paid for those monuments yet, becaue the govt is "shut down", they want to make it as painful as possible for the citizens. At least that is what people with common sense think. Maybe you should try using that part of your brain.

At best the Chefs split with them. Their only hope is a wild card. And I thought the Huskers had a 'supposed' easy schedule. KC's wins are against teams with a combined 3-13 record. Impressive. And yes, Denver has only played marginally better teams. But they're not winning 17-16 and 26-16, either.

Personally I hope Chump stays on the sidelines. Get tired of the announcers referring to him as a lockdown corner when he gets torched 3-4 times per game. I'll take Miller back but Bailey is done. Give him his gold watch and send him packing.

  4. Prince picked off the Chefs! Yes!

    1. teachercd

      teachercd

It will be an automatic win. Right now, I am just hoping for a sweet line of under 10, that will be easy money on NU. The Illini on the road vs a team with a pulse...fugetttabout

15-20% chance. Illinois did look decent against Washington, but let's not throw away how awful they looked against E. Illinois for 4 quarters.

  6. RG44 and Cooper said - we don't tackle during practice. Both say it would help the team if they did tackle in practice. Count me as BLOWN AWAY! HOW DO YOU NOT TACKLE IN PRACTICE? Explains a lot. http://theticketfm.com/index.php/podcasts/drop-the-mike?layout=feed&feedname=8&limit=0&filter_order=a.publish_up&filter_order_Dir=desc&format=html

    3. teachercd

      teachercd

Sorry. Usually you tackle one day a week, if that. Most teams do not tackle (to the ground) during the season, it really doesn't make sense.

    4. ObamaRocks91

      ObamaRocks91

I have seen an interview with Nick Saban that says they tackle to the ground almost every practice, nearly everyday besides Thursday. That's easier when you have nine 5 stars players at every position, but it seems to work for them.

  7. Nobody has taken my question seriously but it's an honest question. Everyone keeps talking about how the offense was pared down Saturday. I would just like to know from someone smarter than I, what was so different? We looked more versatile than I remember seeing us in quite some time.

OC's love to outsmart themselves. Glad that Beck may have taken a step forward in a more focused gameplan and practice rather than a "jack of all trades" approach.

  8. Who ya gonna get? Jack Del f'ing' Rio. That's who I'll get. And we'll kick your. Mother lovin ass.

Not sure if del rio would come but he would fix sh#t I know that. Especially this piss poor attitude no has passed down to our players.

  9. Go BRONCOS! Helluva game. Much respect to the Manning family.

HOLY WOW! I completely forgot about football today! This changes everything!

  12. On third and two or fourth and one DON'T give the ball to Cross? They'll never expect it! GENIUS. Oh and also, let's line up in shotgun formation it will blow their minds. We are so multiple!

    1. TonyStalloni

      TonyStalloni

I also find it odd that Cross played so few snaps. A few good power runs up the middle might have fired up the linemen and forced the UCLAns to slide someone into the middle.

    2. strigori

      strigori

Our brilliant OC stated that as they were not calling inside runs, that meant that Cross' number was not called.

  13. My daughter looks at me as we are walking out of the stadium and says " well dad, I had fun even though we lost. Thanks for taking me". Shoot, I'm just glad God blessed me with her 11 years ago. Glad we can laugh and enjoy a game together. I hope we created a memory she will look back on years from now. Her first Husker game with dad.

  14. I'm up and getting ready. Gonna pick my 11 year old daughter from her friends birthday/ slumber party last night and we are heading to our first game together. Going to be a great day. GBR!

  15. Damn. Brady can still throw a hell of a deep ball.

  16. Suh, I respect your game and all. Your probably the best DT I've seen at Nebraska.(maybe). But seriously, claiming the NFL is targeting you? Give it a rest. You've done a lot of really dumb sh#t, including this unnecessary cheap shot. Don't try to play victim cuz' really ithis attention was all brought on by nobody but yourself.

King, we are in complete agreement. I love the way he plays too. In the old school days he would be unlimited and unstoppable. I think it's just the whole playing the victim thing that stirred me up. He's done some dumb things. He's going to either stop or live with the consequences. I prefer he keeps the intensity, just don't complain when it bites you in what is now a bit of a softer league than what once was.

      Count 'Bility

Regardless, Jacksonville just ran their first play in KC territory-with 7 1/2 minutes left in the game. That's pure domination, regardless the team.

  20. Maintain perspective Husker nation. Enjoy the highs, don't get too low with the lows. Today was everything it should have been. Let's enjoy it and Go Big Red. Lord knows I enjoyed it.

  21. I'm liking this defensive game plan. Really getting after them and trusting our cbs in man coverage.

Can't discount the fact that Brett Smith isn't out there making us pay for every mistake. Yet, the agression level is up. We are letting the guys play a bit more. SJB, Banderas, and Gregory really jump off the screen. Mitchell does a lot of very good things as well.

    3. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

I see some swagger and I like. Zaire Anderson. Neat. Randy Gregory-I'm in love. Clowny could learn some things from Gregory.

Again, not much difference. Guys just making plays.

  22. They tried to sprint the HB out and clear the middle of the field like tWyoming did. We didn't follow him out like a moron this time.

  23. A year ago in that third and ten the linebacker does not have the speed to chase that down and make the tackle. Banderas u da man!

  24. Lou Holtz and Lee Corso. Time to retire has come and gone a long time ago.......Go golf the rest of your senile lives away.
