  2. Can we get to the bottom of why this team still can't execute what the coaches are asking them to do? Why? Especially on the offensive and defensive line.

FAU also seemed to abandon the misdirection and screen game that killed us in that first drive. I'm not sure if it was our defense recovering, or FAU pulling a Beck. (Oh, that works?? Save that for another game!)

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Yea dudeguyy. I'm not for blaming the players, I never have been. The lack of experience and youth of the team excuses don't apply anymore either. That just bullsh#t.

  3. Gurley and Gordon had big days statistically. The win is the most important thing tonight but man I hope Ameer goes for at least 200. Maybe even 300+ and short for that rushing record.

Mariota is my man, and I love Oregon but I don't see them running the table. Too many injuries on the offensive line.

I think they lose 1. Mariota is one heckuva QB, personally I think he/this year is their best legit chance for a natty.

  4. So we are praying for an 11 a.m. Start in Camp Randall .

  5. Steve Sipple seems like he'd be an okay guy to have a beer with but man his hypocrisy is mind numbing. How can a man defend Bo with complete certainty, then shun criticism because he's not close enough to the inner workings of the team?

He doesn't want to risk being the closest media member to the team, IMO, so he ends up being Bo's mouthpiece.

I tried my hardest to write that like a Sipple article intro.

  6. Sources say Manning played with torn right quad muscle. IMO, and I'm no NFL coach, but if a guy is demonstrating that he is to capable of helping your team win, then I don't care if he's Peyton f'ing Manning, the coaches owe it to the rest of the team to give them the best opportunity to win. Osweiler should've atleast been given a chance.

How many times do we see truely great teams overthink things in big games and hurt themselves?

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

I don't think any of them looked as ineffective as Manning did though. Rodgers was a ke to start turning it on in the second half. Credit Manning for trying to gut it out, but he never looked effective.

They kept getting away from the run all year. Finally the loss to the Rams where we threw 50 times and ran 15, finally raised some concerns but then Manning just gets all pass happy during spurts in games. 46 passes? Terrible game management.

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

The blueprint to beat Manning has been out there for a long time. Indy was smart enough to do it. I never understand why more teams don't. Blitz and jam WR's. Now why Denver's defense never attempted the same things, I don't know. What s horrible game all around.

  7. Well, I'm headed out there guys. Probably be in it for about 10-12 hours. I got a better set of gloves this time. Last snow it took me three weeks to get the numbness out of three of my fingers.

We had between 6-8 inches of snow I believe. The way the wind was blowing it was a foot deep in some spots. I just got back home. It's damn cold out there now and my face is ready to fall off. I used a snowblower. A large one actually. Still, with four guys and about 25 places to snowblow, it takes some time.

You don't have to be fast to be successful in the NFL. Gore isn't fast, and he is a damn good RB for SF. All he has to be, is an every down back who can be reliable for a 3-4 yard gain, which I think he can and will be.

I could be the RB for Denver. It really doesn't matter when you have arguably the best passing QB and the best WR's in the league. No D will be focused on the run.

And the more regulated it becomes, the less it resembles the game. You can't tell me the product you see today remotely resembles the product 15-20 years ago. A lot has changed, all very quickly. As the competitive nature of the game suffers, the passion of the fans will dry up a bit.

    3. tschu

      tschu

It can't be stopped though, the game is going to continue to evolve being driven by money, there's nothing that fans have done wrong, it's just kind of a sad inevitability. CFB will be vastly different in 10-20 years.
