Dogs In A Pile
Mich. is averaging 4.97 yd/rush. It will be interesting to see how the D holds up against their OL which is by far the best we will have seen this year. 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment

It also changes the equation if we fall behind by multiple scores against a team that wants to lean on the run. Colorado got up big and wanted to continue to throw, so this is the first example. I think we hold up well in the 1st half. 2nd half the defense will probably have been on the field too much and wear down. Quote Link to comment

That's my guess too. Something like 14-0 at half, and then the wheels fall off. Quote Link to comment
presidentjlh
Now, I'm generally pessimistic, but the rushing defense has been ridiculously impressive. I don't care it's not been against a top rushing team, you don't have the best start to your rushing defense since 1999 after 4 games without that unit being legitimately very good. There's a reason we didn't do it any other time the past 24 years. 1 Quote Link to comment

Which shows the philosophical difference between former regimes and Rhules incredulousness (disdain?) for game time depth charts. If there weren't Blackshirts we could conceivably say we have 20 starters on D, and no one really can tell the difference when someone is on or off. 1 Quote Link to comment
