The Israel-Hamas War

Recommended Posts

Israel had near universal sympathy after the 10/7 attack.

They're doing everything they can to erase that.

Three British civilians were among the seven aid workers killed in last night's attack, World Central Kitchen has confirmed.

  1. Seven people working for food aid charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) have been killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza
  2. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says the convoy they were in was hit unintentionally
  3. "It happens in war... and we will do everything so that this thing does not happen again," he says
  4. Three British nationals were among those killed, along with Australian, Polish, Palestinian workers and a dual US-Canadian citizen
  5. Australia's PM has said he expects "full accountability" after Lalzawmi "Zomi" Frankcom was listed among the dead
  6. A Palestinian medical source told the BBC the workers had been wearing bullet-proof vests bearing the charity's logo
  7. The CEO of World Central Kitchen says it was an "unforgiveable attack" - the organisation is pausing its operations

I’m not prepared to go that far, as I haven’t studied each President in detail, however many are not without sin for sure.

But let’s rage farm (not you) about Israel defending themselves from constant attacks, of which those attacks by Hamas will inevitably  lead to innocent lives lost directly or from Israeli counter attacks.

Way too many. And Trump had way way way more and also way too many. We are the terrorist state to the perception of many around the world, in the same way that Israel is to Palestinians, and not without evidence and reason for thinking so.

Our 'righteous cause' isn't always so righteous.  I wonder what would happen if we stopped being the world's police man?  Some would say the world would go to hell - the dictators would rule.  Others would say, let each country live out the consequences of their own choices.  Others might say, if we don't do it, the strong will keep oppressing or taking over the weak (Russia/Ukraine).  In many cases perhaps most, we get in our own way in seeking to doing what we think is good.

USA is always in a damned if we do, damned if we don't situation.

Soon we will just have the Aliens to worry about and we will all become slaves to some type of green men.  Sorry, too many sci-fi shows.

Will Smith and Randy Quaid will handle those green men or we could throw some water on them or throw a bit of Covid their way.   We got it handled.

Ok which 3 sci do movies did we find those solutions??

The Middle East would sure be a lot better off if post WW2 efforts wouldn’t have set the stage for today. Well that and meddling oil efforts by the United States.

You're a historian. You've got it.

Who drew the Middle East lines post WWII?

And who meddled with oil efforts from post-WWII to today (non Mid-East countries, obviously)

Other than Isreal, did you mean after WWI?

That seems to be when the real disconnect occurred.
