OH HSKR FAN
I think he is going to get a lot of reps in the preseason. Does he get reps during conference play? Would you put him in for a series even if it is a one score game early in the 1st or 2nd Half? Quote Link to comment

tmfr15
I might even toy with the idea of starting the kid (Tommy) against South Dakota State. Give Taylor the week off. It is basically a bye week for us. That might be being presumtuous I realize. Maybe we could play Taylor for a couple series and treat the game like it's an NFL preseason tilt. Quote Link to comment

The Maudfather
The only reps TA should see this year are the ones that come after we're up 3+ scores late in the game and it's out of reach for the opponent. Quote Link to comment

Do you not remember how the last game against SDSU went for us? Start Taylor every single game, and only put in TA when the game is in hand. 1 Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Hate Pinkel, but his best coaching move was putting in his back up QB for the first offensive series in the 2nd quarter for his senior multi-year QB (don't remember who they were, maybe Gabbert for Smith?) Â Bo will never do this though Quote Link to comment

husker_99
Can our defense come together quick enough to allow blowouts? Quote Link to comment

If we were to lose, the same people who complain about our backups not getting enough playing time would crucify Bo for that decision. Â I really doubt it. Hopefully we'll actually have some leads where he can get some reps but he'll get plenty in practice to be ready next year. Quote Link to comment

Would you put him in for a series even if it is a one score game early in the 1st or 2nd Half? 1st half? Maybe. That sort of thing is not unprecedented since Pellllini has been here. 2nd half? I hope not. If it's a close game in the second half Taylor needs to take every snap. Quote Link to comment
n.e.husker
TA can get reps when we have a comfortable lead. Rembering the Cody Green one first half series experiment three years ago and his fumble inside the 10 yard line of the washington game. Quote Link to comment
EZ-E
Never risk losing a football game. 2nd half in the first two SHOULD be TA's Quote Link to comment
