In the Deed the Glory
Does anyone know if Bo cleared this decision with Taylor Martinez? Or with his dad? If not, that could be trouble. I actually laughed out loud. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
Bo should give Beck a Blackshirt. He seems to know how to stop an offense. 8 Quote Link to comment

The Maudfather
It's a sad day in Husker Nation when this hardly even resonates with the fan base. I am over the blackshirts drama. I am over all the talk. I just want to see a defense that consistently plays passionate and inspired football. Quote Link to comment

knapplc
I would describe it more as "flawed from the start" and we're reaping the bitter harvest of that initial flawed practice. He should have never made the Blackshirts a prize to attain throughout the year. Just give them out the week of the first game, and change them up as personnel changes. This wound, like so many of Bo's in his tenure here, is self-inflicted. 3 Quote Link to comment

It was never a prize awarded for playing good and was never a carrot to be withdrawn after a poor performance. Especially after the UCLA game and SDSU. This is another attempt to try and fix a problem that has been going on for quite some time IMO. Quote Link to comment

Maybe, instead of taking them away as a motivational tool, the coaches have come up with a new scheme where they put out zero defenders on the field for the first drive. No starting defense = no Blackshirts. Bo gets it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Huskerfan1985
I talked with Bo's salt water aqaurium guy and he said that Bo didn't take the black shirts away, they just forgot to do laundry. He said it was just easier to say that he took them away. 1 Quote Link to comment

He's changed it for the worse, and he clearly doesn't get why it's not working, or how to fix it. The move hasn't paid off, Cotton. Time to try something else. Quote Link to comment

I was trying to make a stupid joke about how he changed it back to where the Blackshirts now mean the starting defense, but he took them away because of a bold strategy to have zero defenders on the field. Dishonor on my cow. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
We were left without direction by Dodgeball. What happens when a move doesn't pay off, Cotton? Quote Link to comment
clone
We are 7 games into the season, a fall practice, and we are just now working on this problem. Seems a little late for a defensive genius to figure it out. I hope your right, but my guess is we have another ass beating coming this weekend. And will see the same puzzled faces on the staff. Northwestern will not beat any ass this week. Huskers win easily. Quote Link to comment
