The Duke Posted October 5, 2014 Share Posted October 5, 2014 This is going to make me sound a real old "back in the day" kind of guy, but I sure do miss Osborne's offense where we would flash fake it to the fullback on option plays. We never truly ran a real triple-option offense it just looked like we did. But by having that extra backer in the backfield the opposing defense had to account for him on every single play. Â I only mention this because you don't get that with this single back read-option...unless you do the pre-snap motion jet sweep like we've seen the first 5 games. Â I guess my point is Nebraska needs more diversity & misdirection in their running game package. Quote Link to comment
