Moiraine
Can't play soft and allow teams to run crazy on us and score 40-70 points. It's unfortunate that this even needs to be said. Quote Link to comment
roadrat
Harvey said we only talked to Riley and he said you can look it up somewhere. Quote Link to comment
southernoregonhusker
I just read a story on oregonlive.com. In it, Frost stated he was shocked that not only is Riley leaving OSU, but he got Nebraska job. Frost is either playing it cool or he's not coming as OC. I suspect it's the latter. The Dude
Makes sense if Riley runs a pro-style offense. The Tressel/Frost thing also made absolutely no sense, but I let the kids have their fun. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
Frost is either playing it cool Does he have any other choice? Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Perlman realeased a statement saying that Riley was the only target. Only offer. And the proof will be in the dovmcumentation that has to be filed on the process Quote Link to comment
LumberJackSker
You honestly are not interested in WHY Frost was not even considered?haven't you heard we are running a west coast offense now Quote Link to comment

ColoNoCoHusker
Frost has a CCG to win this weekend. If he was on SE's list, Frost wouldn't have spoken with SE until after the CCG. As an AD, SE would know this is common practice. When Oregon makes the playoff, I could see Frost staying off-limits to suitors until after ducks win it all (or lose). It's the first year of the playoff, what coach is gonna risk screwing that up? Not everyone is a "Brian Kelly". Quote Link to comment

Hayseed
You might think that this administration doesn't want Frost or anyone with Husker connections. Maybe there is so much infighting that they decided to go with a complete unknown so that nobody got who they wanted? Personally, I think the CSU coach was the intended target and they scrambled as soon as Florida hired him. 2 Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
We'll never know if he was the first choice. That being said, it took 5 days to make the announcement. How many people can you really contact and interview and talk through the deals with in such a short amount of time? Not many. Quote Link to comment
southernoregonhusker
Frost is either playing it cool Does he have any other choice? No, but I'd rather he didn't make himself available t the media than fib. Yeah, there's a possibility he's fibbing, but I think he's not coming. Plus, his current offense doesn't have a lot in common with what Riley typically runs. Quote Link to comment
74Hunter
Not contacting Frost, that's n not nice. Quote Link to comment

I would believe that he has not talked to anyone about asst. coaching positions, yet. The longer it is open, the longer Scott might be an option. I am sure he would wait until after the bowls. It is only right Quote Link to comment
