I think K Davis can work there. Daniels has potential. And Thomas could probably work there as well. If Mapieu qualifies, we're OK. Otherwise we need to add one but I don't think we're in bad shape right now. However, I'm not sure we have an impact CB on the roster right now. Jackson is below average. Lee is in about the same boat. Bootle has some potential. Hopefully Deontai Williams can play right away. The only caveat at CB is I think our scheme was so bad last year that it's hard to make a definite judgement. Hopefully a change will do everyone well. Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
My (realistic) finishing wish list: QB/Ath: Joiner/Tago WR: Watt/Olave/Porter WR/Ath: Jones OT: Johnson DE: Carson OLB: Jean-Baptiste DB: Palmer/Montgomery DB: Jones Transfer: Dixon Quote Link to comment

I am a firm believer that you never skip a year on QB's and you should always get several OL/DL. 1 Quote Link to comment

I agree. We are getting several DLs. I just don't think it's among our biggest needs right now. Quote Link to comment

Just kidding... I was hoping that the dots and the three buts would show my sarcasm, but obviously that didn't work. Edited January 4, 2018 by FaithfulHusker Quote Link to comment

Solid result for a transition class with Dixon coming in as well possibly. Quote Link to comment

I believe that Faithful is employing the literary technique known as "sarcasm". And I have an addendum: Nate Clouse should be avoided like the plague. Didn't calculate Olave or Palmer and I just removed Montgomery and we are still easily top 30(based on last 5 years). I think we end up top 30. We are already sitting at 40 with 6-7 commits to go. Huskers93-97
A large amount players on the field for UCF defeating Auburn were true sophomore that Frost recruited in his first class. I just looked at roster- actually quite a few true freshman as well. Just because 3 bad coaches did a bad job on their first recruiting class doesnt mean Frost will. I trust whatever Frost does- if he feels a kid can contribute either right away or he knows he can develop him in a year or 2 then so be it. I have more confidence in recruiting a kid that is rated low 80s with Frost because he can coach kids up. He can make them better. Also he knows his offense and exactly what he wants. He may recruit a kid to do just a few things in certain situations. So we may look at him and think what the heck- but Frost sees him as a matchup nightmare for simply 3rd and long- or goal line or something. He can spot talent IE McKenzie Milton- No one else wanted him. Look at Martinez- Frosts top guy. Now at all star camp after injury and rating out as best QB there and he is rusty. Heck a 1 handed linebacker. Edited January 4, 2018 by Huskers93-97 1 Quote Link to comment
