The Repub Debate

Recommended Posts

So watching the GOP debate last night, it was very apparent how much stronger the GOP bench is relative to the Dems. Nobody (outside of Trump who is not really a Conservative) flopped, and all have compelling backgrounds and experiences to take on Hillary, Bernie, or Biden.

I just watched Hillary get interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN, and she is so phony. I'm not sure how any Democrats could actually support her, just as I'm not sure how any Republicans could support Trump.

Thought Fiorina, Christy, and Rubio did well. Wish the others would quit and go home. Bush did ok last night but I don't think he can ever get elected with the perceived baggage associated with his name. I like Carson but he is too nice and soft spoken and too wishy washy. Paul is a tool, Kasich makes me want earplugs everytime he opens his mouth. Cruz is an imbecile, Walker a waste of space, and Trump.......effin clown. The only winner is the democratic party as long as Trump is in the race. I still think he is a Clinton plant to help Hillary get elected.

3. If Trump was running 100 years ago he would win with ease but we are so afraid to hurt peoples feelings now

I'm so tired of this bullsh#t PC line. I don't give a crap that he's not PC. I care that most of what he says is idiotic. (Other than his economic plan which was way better than what any of the other candidates said they want to do). There's a big difference between telling it like it is and being a loudmouth who says stupid things.

I agree with you.

At this point, I don't know who I am going to support.

However, one thing that makes me feel a little better about this election, it seems like Trump, Carson and Fiorina are the ones who are pretty much taking over the Republican side of the election. All three of these are anti establishment Republican candidates that have never held public office before under the Republican party. Now, if Trump would just go away and go comb his hair we could then have an adult conversation about issues.

I like this. To me, it's clear that most people don't want the same ol same ol Republican candidates recycled over and over again. And, most people don't want another Bush either.

I actually would love to see a debate with just Carson and Fiorina. I think the conversation would be much more productive and informative than the typical political crap.

Add Rubio to the mix and I'd be fine wt that debate. The others are just taking up space and it is a matter of time. I hope the next debate reduces the # down to 6 or fewer. Don't need half of those guys on the stage. And Trump just sucks all of the air out of the room. The problem is that the moderators are more focused on personalities than issues thus too much time trying to get debaters to attack each other - a good diversion from keeping them from attacking the other party.

Considering the bolded is the #1 need in our President (especially right now), Trump is the best candidate and it's not even close. I also have no problem with the things he's saying.

Can't agree here. Saying something that sounded better than the people who shared the stage with him isn't saying much. His idea was better than a flat tax rate. Almost any idea is better than that.

I fail to understand why people think Trump would be great at economic issues. He knows how to deal with economic things for one wealthy person.

And, he didn't make himself rich. He inherited it. In fact, I wouldn't say he is that great of a business man.

He inherited between 40 and 200 million in 1974 (depending on who you ask). Today he's worth 9 billion. Yep, not a great businessman at all.

I don't care what kind of business man he is or how great his economic plans may be, and I do agree that the economy is the number one issue. I simply cannot support a guy (or gal) that acts like a complete douchebag and that is Trump in a nutshell. He is not presidential. Sure there is something to be said for not being a polished politician but being an insufferable jerk with no manners and no sense of decorum is no substitute. I see what some of the allure is with him but there is no way in hell he could ever win election in this country. If he did, I would have to seriously wonder about our country. Well who am I kidding, I already have serious reservations about the people who cast votes in this country. If you consider Obama got re-elected and look at who is running this time.......as a country we pretty much suck at this whole election thing.

In regards to the debates

The earlier jv debate-George Pataki should be a democrat. He is allergic to the base with this views. He's an old Rockefeller Republican and belongs with the dinosaurs.

varsity debate-Trump held his own and "won" in my estimation. Carly Florina continues to make progress an to provide a compelling case. I don't know if Trump will be the nominee yet. The last go around, Rick Perry led the polls and the election before that, Rudy Giuliana dominated the polls around this time of year. We all know what came of that.....

Trump was right-Jeb's millions is due to the Koch brothers, not due to a broad case of regular Joe support. He should stop denying that fact.

More lies in the 2nd debate from the Repubiklan Fascist Liar Party than you can shake a stick at, but in Murica, facts don't matter anymore.

Fiorina:--No Carly, there is no 'harvest' vid as she so grotesquely described, it doesn't exist. She made it up. I challenge anyone here to produce it.

--While at HP, Firorian was actively selling computers, etc, to the 'hated' Iran gov't, which was illegal at the time, according to embargo rules.

Rubio--Nice story about his grand dad 'escaping' Cuba under persecution from Castro, except for one thing: his grand dad immigrated to the U.S before Castro took power in Cuba.

Trump: Yes, he did declare bankruptcy at least 4 times and he did try and get casino deals in FL, though he denies it was through Bush.

Bush: Well, he lied about his hgt to a photo

(tiptoes)

Carson: What anesthetic is this guy on? Seems he was putting himself to sleep.

Cruz(Cross, Crucifix): somebody please adopt this guy, would you?

Anyway, Murica, if this is the best you can do, you have serious issues.
