Atbone95
Didn't need, IMO. Waste of a scholarship. Quote Link to comment
Decked
Didn't need, IMO. Waste of a scholarship. And if O'Brien isn't ready to take the helm or is a bust what do we do then? Bush will never do anything. And Darlington is another concussion away from not being able to play anymore. Quote Link to comment
obert1
if obrien is a bust it's bush or darlington. Good insurance policy imo Quote Link to comment
Red Five
Didn't need, IMO. Waste of a scholarship. Curious as to why you think this way? Quote Link to comment
mnhusker
I think it's good to add depth. I can't wait to have back up scholarship qbs that are able to beat out our walk on`s for the number 2 spot. Quote Link to comment
Atbone95
Didn't need, IMO. Waste of a scholarship. Curious as to why you think this way? A guy who has had injuries in the past, is attempting to recover (hasn't played since - Darlington 2.0?) who completed LESS passes than TA does at a LOWER level of competition. I'm not saying POB is a done deal, or that any QB on our roster now is the answer. But I don't think this guy solves any issues other than holding a scholarship for two years and moving on his way. Kiyoat Husker
The coaches must have seen something in lee that they liked. No harm in having a backup plan. In Riley's /Langs's system it seems that you have to have the right QB running it. No room for error. Use enough schollys to make sure we hit triple 7's at that position. Quote Link to comment
SouthLincoln Husker
This is a good pickup. Apparently the coaches don't think too much of our bench, as Ryker was our backup. 1 Quote Link to comment
hskerholic
coach Williams was at Tulane and has a good idea on what this kid can do. Quote Link to comment

Looks me like he got a concussion mid-season, but came back to play in 4 games before breaking a finger in the next to last game and then missing the last game. Not sure the comparison to Darlington is valid. Is this guy going to come in and light the world on fire? Probably not, but he at least adds some depth to our QB position in 2017. And having a former D1 starter be the scout team QB in 2016 should be pretty helpful as well. Quote Link to comment
theknife
I think this is a great move. I hope POB is half as good as the hype, but getting someone who has played D1 and has a year to learn the system is a great insurance policy. 2017 will be an open job at QB, so any true freshman that is afraid to come in and compete probably isn't who you want leading your team anyways. Also Bush is still a work in progress, as well as Darlington. This move allows a true freshman, POB, and a junior or senior with D1 playing time to all compete for the job. Quote Link to comment
