ADS
I'm putting this in the rumor section until officially verified. But, on RSS they're claiming Williams got a DUI last night and also hit an Uber. Would be his third offense per the scrolls.Take it fwiw. knapplc
CornNation is reporting that Nebraska WR coach Keith Williams was arrested last night for DUI with a .15 blood alcohol level. According to CN: According to the site DUI Driving Laws, the fact that Williams is both on his third offense and had a BAC of +15 complicates things badly for him:The administrative penalties for a BAC alcohol level equal to or greater than .15 are as follows:Fine up to $10,000License suspension from 5 to 15 yearsVehicle immobilization for minimum 5 days and up to 8 months or vehicle impoundmentInstallation of Ignition Interlock Device if judge ordersAttendance at chemical dependency education or treatment programIt should also be mentioned that Nebraska does allow plea bargaining for these offenses. Landlord
What do we hope happens? As much as it pains me to say it, he should be fired if he doesn't get jail time or mandatory time in a rehab center. If it was a first time thing I would be fine with him keeping his job (with consequences and accountability), but you can not allow someone to do this 3 times and not have serious consequences. That is absolutely horrific, and when one of the biggest receiver recruits in school history is in town? Ugh. This is awful. 3 Quote Link to comment
funhusker
Might as well merge the threads. Sadly, I don't think it is just a rumor anymore... Quote Link to comment
funhusker
I don't think there as any scenario where he will keep is job. That said, where would NU look for a new WR coach? Is there a GA on staff now that could do it? 2 Quote Link to comment
