Everyone can say we need to pound the rock, but outside of Armstrongs 2 big ones....we have gone nowhere on the ground

Sweeps, draw, option, counter, those would work. Purdue crashing the box on first step.

You're probably right. I guess I'm addressing the people that think we can line up and run hb iso plays 10x in a row for a TD like its 1983

Huh?

Newby has a 11 yard carry and he's averaging 3.4 yards.

Commitment to the run means sticking with it when is starts a little slow, not just sticking with it when it's off to a hot start.

Apparently Ozigbo is a decoy and can't actually play. Obviously we cant block their defensive line. Our O line is so badly hurt (apparently) that we are merely pretending to have a starting unit out there. If we can't average 3.3 yards per play running the ball vs. Purdue, we are still in DEEP trouble against a good opponent. Gonna get ugly if we don't take over now. Sadly, it doesn't look like we are going to be able to move the ball. Armstrong is going to have to run the dam ball instead of throw it away. Can't afford incompletes.
