How trump has any women supporters is beyond me - the power of the cult is the only thing I can think of.  Brainwashed followers.  But the same is true of any man who  votes for this clown - they essentially enable him to be the abuser continually - if not in actual actions but in words and attitudes.  These are very weak men.  Senator Rubio just endorsed Trump - the description is on him now as well.   Weak men not willing to stand up on behalf of women.

Pretty much sums it up.

Does anyone ever wonder how Hilter gained and retained power?  No need to wonder any longer - we are seeing it played out before our very eyes now.

Meh... There's was a little more violence, and a lot more bloodshed, but the appeasement is through and through.

Remember there were years of violent talk before the violence began in earnest. And we're seeing a lot of the same from MAGA.

It’s really fascinating to watch from a “here’s how disordered brains work” perspective - it’s like a case study. Obviously the substance of what he’s saying is disgusting.

But solely to examine how his brain works:

1. Pick a stance or make a statement

2. Refuse to ever disown it or reverse course even when it’s actively blowing up in your face

3. Double down on it when asked because you can never be wrong

4. Ad-lib your way into making it worse because you can’t shut your stupid mouth

Just fascinating. Utterly pathological, but fascinating.

I hope and suspect the differences between the U.S. and Germany are significant, but the current comparison is to Germany in the early 1930s, so the level of violence and autocracy are still TBD.

There are literally a thousand things Donald Trump has said and done that would have derailed the career of any other high profile U.S. politician. We will be studying this for years, assuming there are still universities that study things.

I think the true test will be if/when Biden beats Trump in 2024.  The MAGA followers will have to realize that most Americans don't agree with them.  And what makes it worse is a person like Trump telling them otherwise and the how the system is rigged keeping "real Americans" from what they all really want.

They already realize this and just don't care. Which is why they want to suppress the vote, pack the courts, threaten judges and witnesses, storm the Capitol, etc.
