DOJ Initial Russia Hearings

Recommended Posts

Team Trump's latest defense:

Trump:  The Stock Market would crash if they impeached him

Rudy:  People will riot if Trump is impeached.

So lets get this straight -

we've gone from no Russian meeting,

to Russian meeting on adaptions,  then later correct that -discussing the campaign

from no collusion,

to collusion isn't illegal,

from no pay offs to females,

to my lawyer did it and it didn't come out of campaign money

From "They have nothing on me"

To broad brush fear tactics - market to crash, people riot - if justice is served because of what they actually have on me.

(Why - would the market crash and  people riot? :dunno  Because Trump is the country's savior:sarcasm in the minds of these people.

I say these people are delusional !

Rudy Giuliani tried to shut down any talk of impeaching President Donald Trump following the revelation that the president’s former lawyer and personal fixer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to several charges, including two campaign finance violations which he said were at the direction of his boss.

Giuliani, who currently serves as the Trump’s lawyer, warned that Americans would be up in arms. “You could only impeach him for political reasons and the American people would revolt against that,” Giuliani told Sky News Thursday during a golf trip in Scotland.

He also called Cohen a liar. “You have this Cohen guy, he doesn’t know anything about Russian collusion, he doesn’t know anything about obstruction, he’s a massive liar,” he said. Cohen’s testimony actually served to clear Trump from any wrongdoing, he added.

Trump himself told Fox News in an interview this week that he believed the markets would crash if he were impeached.

“I think everybody would be very poor,” he said. “Because without this thinking you would see, you would see numbers that you wouldn’t believe in reverse.”

We all need to get ready for this. The stock market is on the longest bull market in its history, encompassing almost all of Barack Obama's presidency, and the first 20 months of Donald Trump.

There's going to be a major correction -- based mostly on math -- and it will definitely play into Trump's hand.

He will be correct that the crash is not his fault, he will be wrong that it is the result of the witch hunt against him. And wrong that he was responsible for the bull market, too.

The tax cuts and tariffs could have a major effect on the economy ---- many economists think they will do more harm than good -- but they will take a couple years to unfold and won't be the reason the stock market tanks.

America votes its pocketbook. That's totally understandable. But it's going to be a murky s#!tstorm of finger-pointing, having little to do with the real problems that need addressing.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office is considering pursuing criminal charges against the Trump Organization and two senior company officials in connection with Michael D. Cohen’s hush money payment to an adult film actress, according to two officials with knowledge of the matter.

A state investigation would center on how the company accounted for its reimbursement to Mr. Cohen for the $130,000 he paid to the actress, Stephanie Clifford, who has said she had an affair with President Trump, the officials said.

Both officials stressed that the office’s review of the matter is in its earliest stages and prosecutors have not yet made a decision on whether to proceed.

These are some strong words.  Not sure Trump's pride would allow him to 'lay down his life' for his family on this.

“It’s only going to get worse,” London said Friday during an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

“We already have everybody, you know — the rats are leaving the ship. He’s lost [Richard] Gates, [George] Papadopoulos, [Michael] Cohen, [Michael] Flynn, now [David] Pecker," London said. “He’ll probably lose others from the Trump Organization.”

“We don’t know a quarter of what’s in the pocket of the prosecutor,” London said of Mueller.

“If he has any interest at all in not only saving his skin, but the skin of his child, his children, his son-in-law, his grandchildren, his daughter — this is a time when he’s got to seriously think about that,” London said, referring to Trump. “Now, is he capable of that, of serious thinking? Frankly, I doubt it.”

London said Trump should ponder his advice because his current lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, who he also labeled a "clown," isn’t going to get him anywhere.

“He’s going to be advised by people like clown Giuliani and people who don’t know that truth is truth, then he’s not going to get anywhere,” he said. “The national interest is what drove the Agnew

Ummmm.....you do realize that same juror voted guilty on the other counts.....right???

pretty much shoots down your theory.

Not at all. The juror was convinced by what she felt was overwhelming evidence on some of the counts.

Listen to the interview. This was all explained.

You all don't have to like or agree with each other but, if you're going to post here, you do need to respect each other. Not-so-subtle jabs at someone's intelligence are an easy way to earn yourself a warning.

This is now the second thread I've had to clean up in as many days because some of you struggle to stay on topic and insist on discussing board moderation. As I said in a thread yesterday, if you wish to issue an opinion on how this board is moderated, please do via either a PM with a member of the leadership team, in the Board Feedback section or in the Woodshed.

Stick to the topic, please.
