We are second to last in passing yards defense. Also 1 sack in 101 passing attempts --- less than 1%

That's something that confused me about the last two games.  You're already getting torched for historic passing yards... why not blitz these quarterbacks and see if you can knock them around a little?  Jumpy quarterbacks are usually less effective.

 

After 78 points and 900+ yards, what do you have to lose by blitzing more?

That's incorrect. Through 2 games we have 1 sack and 5 knockdowns

The thing is, we've given up 162 more rushing yards than they have so our total defense is worse. Helps that they've had 7 sacks for -42 yards already.

We are 123rd out of 130 in total D.  I don't think we expected that our highest paid ever ( I think that is the case) coordinator would have us in this position even wt a new D installation.  The most disheartening thing is watching the QB have all of the time in the world, leaving our DBs in a very vulnerable position.  No blitz package, slow footed linebackers covering receivers.
