krc1995
Game planning is terrible. But otherwise, we just don't have football players. We have athletes who play football. And as long as we keep firing and hiring key coaching positions, we will never have football players. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
I learned that people do come around. I am glad some are seeing the light and I am sorry that Riley was hired in the first place. 2 Quote Link to comment

Undone
Tanner Lee is constantly looking for the deep ball when his deep man is NOT actually open. That's the opposite of what a QB needs to do with his deep throws. I'm also seeing that now that Langsdorf has "his players," his first down effectiveness is atrocious. He's trying too hard to be "balanced." We *have to* run the ball more on first down. We wound up in so many 3rd & 3 situations...and Lee just couldn't handle it. Our O-line couldn't handle it. We couldn't drive the ball against Northern Illinois. I mean...what in the actual f***? We had two TDs where one of them was a three yard drive. Quote Link to comment

The sooner that people realize that Langsdorf's offense isn't that great the better. Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
This isn't anything that isn't surprising considering Riley's history throughout his career, but there were again so many mistakes today. 3 turnovers (2 resulting in TD's) 3 sacks given up, and 7 QB hurries 5 penalties for 48 yards, and those were killer penalties blocked FG given up Only 17 points with the offense having the ball for 80+ plays Quote Link to comment

Pretty sure everyone knew that. We've seen him go full Beck too many times not to notice this. Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
I think people should have learned that the "pass doesn't open up the run game". 2 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
I like that NU huddles but still can't get a play off without having to call a timeout! "X 87 Zipper Rambo Tangent Viper 14 Chrome Circle" Ready Break... Play: QB Sneak. 2 Quote Link to comment

VectorVictor
I learned that going 1-2 vs. Rutgers, Purdue, and Illinois is looking very likely at this point. Quote Link to comment

I learned that my 5-7 prediction is probably right on the money. I learned that I hate being right. I learned that I’m getting pretty close to not caring about Nebraska football anymore. You will find out you can never not care about the team if your all in from day one. It hurts but there is always next week. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
Red Five
I learned that I am officially done with this staff. Also learned we're going to be hard pressed to make a bowl game. Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
Offense - The Nebraska football program is in year 9 of having a liability at QB Where the F is Ozigbo? Receivers are rarely open Blocking inconsistent Stanley Morgan is a Savage Blocker. Defense - 7 points allowed means nothing. This offense wasn't good AT ALL. They are going to get steam rolled. Reed is not good enough to play with one arm Soft coverage doesn't work, but we are going to stick with it. Special Teams Punt return...WTF? Overall They just play bad football. We are a joke. There are enough good players on this team to perform well. I have a similar feeling in this game as did watching Callahan get dismantled by Oklahoma State. I'm done with Riley. This will never work. I laughed when people suggested Frost a few years ago. I feel like an idiot now. Les Miles in the booth....Woof 6 Quote Link to comment
