BoSolich: This team is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.
Fan: What do you mean, “biblical”?
MountainMan: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Fan, real wrath-of-God type stuff.
BoSolich: Exactly.
MountainMan: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling.
StPaulHusker: Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes…
HuskerNation1: The dead rising from the grave.
BoSolich: Injuries, transfers, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together – mass hysteria.

we're a couple injuries/transfers away from having walk-ons starting at QB, RB, and WR. bunch, mazour, warner(starting this week).

and the o line is still a weak unit

combine that with a defense that's giving up 39 a game, and things could continue to get worse.

it scares me that we still have 8 games left with the way we've looked.

So you're saying we have a chance? YESSSS!!!!!

someone please inform me why the 4 game rule was implemented? Who is it designed to protect?  I’m afraid it will pray on the impulsivity of players and in the end,  not teach them anything about life or further their ability to get an education. I could see some of these guys quit and never enroll in another school

It was designed to help the players and the school by allowing coaches to play freshman in up to four games and still redshirt them and get them live game experience. The coaches love the new rule. Frost has said he loves the new rule. Players apparently dont understand the new rule. Most probably think they will be eligible next season which isnt the case.

It was supposed to "protect" the players who might play a couple games then fall out of the rotation so they didn't burn a year on just a couple plays.  Or let them play in a couple late-season games as an injury replacement but still keep their year of eligibility.

I think there are some good things about it.  But I don't think the players that are transferring understand it thouroughly.  Of course, I also won't be surprised if the NCAA tweaks the rule so that this "redshirt" year counts as their transfer, sit-out year.

If the NCAA allows the redshirt year to count as a transfer year there would be mass transfers. There would not be a punishment for transferring, other than missing 8 games
