If anything every American should be fearful that the bare knuckle politics and  fbi would try an end run to circumvent an election or try and invoke the 25 th amendment in a way it was never intended to be used 

Like with bill clinton I don’t even like the guy- trump that is 

but if the shoe was on the other foot this would be playing out much differently as   Always

True story

last year took my youngest to dc to see all the monuments museums etc

 

in one of the museums there was a place where you could vote for best president

the vote totals were up in lights 

 

obama was winning by landslide

outpacing 

lincoln

washington

jefferson

Roosevelt

truman 

reagan 

etc etc

 

for doing what?

i get everyone including myself hoped for the best, he was our first black president , but the results didn’t equal him beating out 44 other guys 

some true heroic icons with long lists of big achievements

So what if you are wrong and Trump is actually under Russian influence? Would you change your mind? 

 

Also Obama being voted best president is probably more recency bias more than anything. Don't see him as better than some that you named, but I do think he was better than many others.

This is true, many conservatives are sick of all of that. Many of them, in addition to that though, are also sick of the sudden sobering realization that their party doesn't actually stand for true conservatism at all, but only stands for it's own power. Those conservatives might be holding their noses and voting for a democrat because being in support of Trump's administration and GOP is unconscionable.
