We need more interceptions out of them this season, but it might be tough if QBs avoid them. Can't avoid them both though. This is our best CB pair since we left the Big 12 methinks. suh_fan93
They both definitely got better as the season progressed. 1 Quote Link to comment
MyBloodIsRed16
Still not sold on LJ. There were plenty of times he was beat last year and the rec just dropped the ball and the announcers acted like Lamar had something to do with it. If you get beat and makeup and get a hand in there to knock the ball away great. But if you get beat and sort of makeup and are just by the guy when he drops the ball thats just lucky. Funny but I felt the same about Bootle early on last year. It's all about development and getting better though and I think we have the right staff to begin seeing a lot more players reaching their potential. Quote Link to comment

The other players on those lists got lucky sometimes too. 2 Quote Link to comment

C-4
LJ’s hype has a lot to do with his reported maturity. Perhaps it’s a common story, the prodigal son comes back matured, but its got weight here as it’s been told by Mo Barry who speaks straight. And all this time LJ is a talent that we felt would be great if he could just get focused. That’s what we’re waiting to see this year. To this point, I’m very impressed by Bootle. Zero interceptions be damned, he is always tied to the hip of his receiver and also bats a lot of balls. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I was looking at some stats for Stanley's numbers against 2018 competition and decided to see where this year's opponents ranked against the run and the pass. Turns out, last year none of these guys were too good at defense (with the exception of our rival Iowa): 1 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I really hope Jackson has a great year. He came in with a lot of hype, didn't live up to that hype....possibly due to bad coaching. Last year he showed he can play the position. Now it would be awesome if he shows he can dominate that position. 1 Quote Link to comment
Husker in WI
How was Wisconsin 22nd in pass yards per game when Martinez almost hit 500 against them? Quote Link to comment
