Popular Post knapplc
From the US Navy's "Faces of the Fleet" series. "Some people train their entire lives to play Division 1 college football. Others, like former SEAL Damian Jackson, have what it takes to walk on." 5 5 Quote Link to comment
B.B. Hemingway
What a perfect time to have a man like this on the football team. To have a man like that in the program while you build a new culture. Whether he regularly sees the field or not, his impact will likely be felt for years. Quote Link to comment

Hilltop
Good stuff! One of the things that MR got right- bringing this kid on the team. Wouldn't it be cool to see this kid make it to the NFL... Quote Link to comment

skers
Anybody close enough to the program to know where he sits on the depth chart anywhere? I hope it works out for this guy. Quote Link to comment

I hope it works out for this guy. I'm not close to the program, but he is not high on the depth chart. But a lot of that is the number of upperclassmen on the two-deep I would think. You've got both Davises, Stille, and then a bunch of guys with at least some experience - Daishon Neal, Deontre Thomas, Chris Walker to some degree. I'd guess Jackson is in the Casey Rogers/Tate Wildeman group working on getting bigger this year and ready to contribute next year. I don't know if he'll ever have the size to be exactly what the coaches want at DE, he can put on weight but he's not getting taller. I still think he'll be a good rotational guy, but I wouldn't expect much outside of special teams/the South Alabama game. Quote Link to comment
