TGHusker
Romney slams Trump lack of leadership on Covid. https://www.the-sun.com/news/1912441/mitt-romney-donald-trump-covid-tragedy/ Quote CNN's Wolf Blitzer quizzed Romney about the president's leadership, acknowledging that yesterday was "the single deadliest day" of the coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday, more than 2,800 Americans died with at least 100,000 people are hospitalized across the USA. "I think it's a great human tragedy, without question," Romney replied. "The extraordinary loss of life is heartbreaking. "And in some respects, unnecessary. Not in all respects, but we've relaxed our standards as individuals." Trump proves Romney's point: While the president continues his silence on the pandemic. Offering NO leadership as the pandemic has esculated. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/528706-trump-largely-silent-as-health-officials-sound-covid-19-alarm Quote Trump administration health officials are issuing increasingly dire warnings about the coronavirus and its rapid spread across the country, drawing a sharp contrast to the president’s reluctance to acknowledge the severity of the crisis head-on. President Trump has been largely silent when it comes to warning the public about the need for precautions or announcing major new steps aimed at curbing the spread of the virus before a vaccine is widely available. Instead, many of his public statements have focused on election conspiracy theories and his refusal to accept the results, underscored by a 46-minute video he posted to Facebook on Wednesday. Trump has made little use of his White House megaphone to warn the public, especially his supporters, about the increasing dangers posed by the coronavirus, leaving that task mainly to various agency officials. funhusker
^^^i +1’d the above post. @Archy1221 this woman is exactly right! These people can’t be expected to shut down without help. I guess my question is, why do you seem to show disdain for reps like AOC who are trying to help this woman and millions like her? 3 Link to comment
ZRod
Same thing here in Michigan. Why can gyms and casinos remain open, but bars and restaurants can no longer have indoor service? Every restaurant has already set up plexiglass or remove seating to comply with distancing. 2 Link to comment
Archy1221
@funhuskerI don’t have disdain for anyone trying to get Covid relief to business owners. AOC is a clown for many other reasons. 1 1 Link to comment
TGHusker
Don't wish covid on anyone. I'm sure this won't help Trump's goal to overturn the election 1 Link to comment
Scarlet
Ok so at this critical time let's invite a far right-wing conspiracy nut to throw shade on our one chance to get out of this health and economic crisis. 4 Link to comment
