spurs1990
Line actually played decent. Farniok looks good and did we get a Raridon sighting too? 1 Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
Yup Raridon got in there too Quote Link to comment
spurs1990
#depth A lineman went down in Knevel and we had no drop off. In fact we may have got an upgrade? Glad Raridon got in there too. Any experience hey can get this early in their career is great. Anyone notice how he did? Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
Our running back runs for 100+ 2 weeks in a row. Our QB had plenty of time to throw aside from a few breakdowns 2 weeks in a row. And we fire the OL coach why? 1 Quote Link to comment
SouthLincoln Husker
Our O-line looked good. Our issue is the lack of blocking by our TEs & Wilborn bails to early on pass protection. Some of these will be fixed, but we need better TEs. Quote Link to comment

We now know how Tanner plays, and in the clutch he choked big time. I would say if he struggles in the next game that should be competitive (which should realistically be a few weeks out), then POB needs to get a shot. Heck, even in a game like today, when it was obvious Tanner was out of rhythm, why not let POB in for a drive or two, and if POB does well, keep him in. If not, at least Lee has a few drives to reset and potentially go back out and perform better. I don't believe in this theory that a player's confidence would be shaken if he is removed as a starter. Lee's confidence was already shaken. Before the season started, i watched a couple of Tulane games to see him in game action. I'm no genius but what i saw in his Tulane games was exactly what we saw vs Oregon. Holding onto the ball way too long, forcing plays, not accurate, etc. I kept seeing before the season that his stats at Tulane weren't all his fault -- bad O-Line, too many youngsters on offense and whatever else would give hope that he could be better than what i saw. But, games i saw, most of the bad plays were directly on him. Even last week, he was trying to force into double coverage and i knew he got away with a lot in that game - he should have been picked off several times vs ASU. Quote Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
The only way I say fire him would be if Knevel keeps his starting position over Farniok. Farniok showed us last weekend that he is AT LEAST equal to Knevel if not better. I think better but its all in the eye of the beholder. And in that case play the freshman in hopes he can be a four year starter like Gates. Knevel had his shot, he didnt do enough to be handed his spot back after injury. If Cavanaugh gives it to him, it will show he doesnt have a clue. Quote Link to comment
SECHusker
This needs to be his last game. 1 Quote Link to comment

husker_fan_from_sweden
Cav is by far the weakest link on the squad. It's not even close. 1 Quote Link to comment
mnhusker
Garbage o-line play for two weeks in a row and for years never dominate. Time to fire the lumbering line coach. 2 Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Yep, he needs to be gone at halftime...........for Farniok to just stand there while his QB gets lit up is completely unacceptable. 2 Quote Link to comment
SECHusker
This makes no sense. He's had these guys for 3 years, and we can't convert a run on 3rd and 2. Quote Link to comment

He is the status quo and owns every sack, miscommunication, blown assignment, and penalty in these pitiful outings. 2 Quote Link to comment
Vince R.
This line gets killed when it trots out 5 guards to start. 1 Quote Link to comment
