  1. I don't know about you but I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders. Trump out and Adults are now in charge. While I'm sure there will be policies I won't agree with, that is secondary to having a president who values Americans, our Constitution and our American Culture and the dignity of each individual.

  3. Where in your severely handicapped reading comprehension skills did you come up with "because you don't like him"? Imagine being supportive of a President, former or otherwise, who is an obvious security threat to this country, was responsible for insurrection and not being intelligent enough to know that hanging is a viable punishment for treason. Imagine being that completely clueless and totally in the bag for a con man. Wow, people might start to get the wrong idea about such a person, begin questioning how sharp they are etc.

  6. See I think Nebraska can make a really big impression this year on defense we have improved every year under Chins. I think we do have a really good defensive coaching staff, I am not saying that we will land this prospect at all however I think Nebraska will be able to go after bigger targets higher profile players and land a few. if the offense catches up with the defense this year and we win a couple games that will go a long way with prospects because I think they like the coaching staff it's just we're not winning for whatever reason. And once we remedy losing to teams that we really shouldn't be losing to I think you'll see us start to land big profile players. The fact that Ohio State and Nebraska teams on two opposite ends of the winning spectrum are in his top 11 says a lot about the program and the staff.

  7. “Trump” does not trigger me. A President, any President, who lies to the American people, calls for insurrection and who clearly is a threat to our democracy and is a security risk, yes, that person “triggers” me. The burning question is, why doesn’t that bother or concern you? I won’t offer the obvious possible answer(s) to that question in the regular forum. You’ve already made it clear for anyone who has been paying attention. Good luck with your......condition.

  8. Dad whipped us with a belt, cheated on mom, pissed on the neighbor's lawn, and burned down our house while he was leaving. But he gave us our weekly allowance and bought us toys for Christmas!

  13. wait till his followers see this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_Party_(1960s–1980s) The Patriot Party was an American socialist organization of the late 1960s and early 1970s that organized poor, rural whites in the Appalachian South and Pacific Northwest. The party was formed after a split with the Young Patriots Organization. The YPO's membership was drawn from street gangs of Appalachian whites in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois; it became politicized after working with the Young Lords, an ethnic Puerto Rican gang; and the African-American Black Panther Party.

  15. Archy, what good Trump did, and I did agree with several of his 'accomplishments', they came at a great cost. Not all things can be measured in $$s Trump, perhaps more than any president, divided us as a nation, his slow response to covid took its toll, and the image of the USA overseas suffered. One can be successful without hurting others - for trump to be up, he had to put other people down. I could name several GOPers who could have accomplished the same thing without all of his personal baggage that came with it.

  18. You're either really struggling with this or purposely skewing what was said. When was the last time we had a President that incited an attack on our government and could be a security risk to our country?

  19. Bernie?? Bringing Bernie into a Tapper post??? I get it that you don’t understand Jake’s background but bringing Bernie in to make a point doesn’t prove the point you would like to prove. Anyways, carry on @blitzfirst with your wisdom about myself. Talk it out. Get it out of your system. when you are ready for a real discussion that doesn’t delve into personal insults just let me know.

  20. Way to completely disingenuously "miss" the point of @BlitzFirst's post. Statues of racists need to come down. Period. No American deserves to have the abasement of their ancestors publicly displayed like that. Those monuments to Jim Crow were erected to keep minorities where racists want them.

  22. As of 1/1/21...over $150 million for that alone Donald Trump has arrived at his Palm Beach, Florida, resort for the 31st golf vacation there of his presidency, raising the taxpayer-funded travel and security total for his hobby to $151.5 million, according to a HuffPost analysis. Trump has already played golf on his own properties 289 times since taking office in January 2017, although he claimed during his 2016 campaign that he would not have time for a vacation at all. “I just want to stay in the White House and work my a$$ off,” he said in February 2016. Trump’s insistence on playing at his own properties ― rather than courses on military bases close to the White House, as former President Barack Obama mainly did — has made his outings enormously expensive for American taxpayers. Each trip to Mar-a-Lago costs $3.4 million flying Trump, his staff and the vehicles needed for his motorcade on Air Force One and a number of cargo planes, as well as the expenses incurred by the Coast Guard to patrol both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean adjacent to his for-profit resort.

  30. How many people do you think this is going to affect? I'd guess less than 20% of the current High School population fall into this category. Let's take kids whose last two years in High School are taking required courses and Shop. I'd argue that those kids would be better served - and better educated - going to a trade school at that point. High School Shop teachers do as well as they can in their limited ways, but they can't give the same hands-on training those students would get in a trade school. Just different universes of resources. And these kids do NOT need to be taking 11th & 12th grade English, or pre-Calc, or any of that stuff. Most kids in High School don't need these courses (especially the English garbage) and instead should be focusing on more practical things like budgets and bookkeeping and things like that. A kid who's going into HVAC or agriculture would be far better served with that kind of education rather than a one-size-fits all generic High School curriculum.

  36. You guys can say those things all you want, but his actions on staffing and ST responsibilities speak to it being a lower priority than the other two teams. Having an off field analyst during the week and then GA's trying to run things during games isn't going to cut it in the Big Ten. Period. The results we have seen show this. Maybe he thinks he is taking it seriously, but if that is the case he needs to take it MORE seriously by dedicating a full time staffer to it and not be quoted saying that he doesn't want to burden a staffer with special teams and another position as he said here: https://omaha.com/sports/huskers/football/special-teams-analyst-jonathan-rutledge-out-at-nebraska/article_8020c4d4-5687-11eb-ae51-fb3b58e5942d.html As you say, these are difficult, complex and time consuming problems, so why would you expect an analyst and some GA's to be able to fix it on their own?
