Big Maple with quite the efficient no hitter tonight! 99pitches, pretty impressive. And heckuva play by Seager, the kind that keep no-no’s intact.

@Xmas32 yeah the starting rotation is awful and this is a team that can be in the hunt for a wild card spot if they can add a legit starter, but they don’t have much in the farm to give up without putting the future in further jeopardy.
-
@Savage Husker agreed. I just don't know what they're going to do as the farm system is pretty barren right now. I guess the only hope would be if a team is looking to shed salary and the Ms can pick someone up as a half season rental and eat the salary in exchange for a low level prospect. I'd love to be able to get a guy like Jake Odorizzi but I think the cost will be too high. The only starters I can think of right now would be guys like Jordan Zimmerman or Smardzija due to their huge contracts. The Walker trade looks like a huge win right now which is great. I feel for Walker though, he's got electric stuff and it's a shame he got hurt.
-
I was happy with the Walker trade and especially happy to see the results so far. It’s too bad he keeps getting nicked up but that’s why I’m happy we sent him to Arizona. I was hoping they’d consider Harvey but not unhappy they didn’t get him, he’s a headcase. At this point, they need to be in striking distance in July to go buy a pitcher, unless Kuma comes back from injury looking like his no-hitter self from 3-4 years ago.

Loving the Shaquem draft pick by the Hawks. Hope he is something special as they rebuild. Pretty cool his brother is on the team already too

Something not right happening in Ann Arbor

Should start a publication which interviews and critiques media members. After the OWH pity party, seems like a good place to start, after all, they want to speak on record and agree to access on everything.

I think it’s especially sad how the teachers have had so much power stripped away. I’m not asking for the treatment my parents got from nuns or teachers and spanking them or hitting them rulers (true stories) but it’s sad when teachers get put bad in their place when they show more care for a child than a parent does. My HS baseball coach just stepped down because he couldnt handle the parents anymore. He had to have a meeting with the principal who had the audacity to talk to a varsity coach about kids’ playing time...

Haha wow, Schick just pulled a fast one over Bahe impersonating Mike Montgomery of the NIT selection. Just trashing Nebraska basketball during the interview. Well worth a podcast listen. Good show.

Are we still worried about Chin’s defense?

I agree Coach. I think the USF and especially the Memphis game was more of an exception than the rule. And I’m sure there were distractions to help cause those high scoring affairs, on top of USF being a solid team and a rematch against another solid team in Memphis.
Cdog, Id like to think there are athletes on Nebraska’s defensive side of the ball who just need to have a fire lit to make them shine. But agreed, Griffin is a beast.

@Savage Husker Guy Thomas should be salivating watching this game.

So awesome for the women’s volleyball team. The disrespect of placing them a 5 seed shouldn’t be forgotten anytime soon when it comes to B1G teams (mainly PSU and NU) coming out of conference and into the tourney. Especially after the way they tore through the field, minus the de facto national championship game against PSU.
-
The hardest part was watching that game with my PSU alumni girlfriend. Oh boy I like how she hates to lose but not when it’s against my Huskers! Lol woooooo! #GBR

@knapplc zing!

Anyone notice Griese not being overly infatuated with the Frost talk on the call today? Just realized the forgotten qb of the 97 shared title is calling his game
-
Be on the lookout for a Nebraska flag behind the goal posts at the NW/PSU game.

What is up with Compton this year? Did he get beat out or is he nicked up?

At the time Washington signed Brown, Compton was still a RFA who had signed his tender yet. Washington was most likely covering their bases. Washington was definitely fortunate and Compton equally unlucky that a LB the caliber of Brown was willing to sign a 1 yr 'prove it' deal.
*hadn't signed his tender

How epic would it be if Nebraska replaced Riley for Chip Kelly? Lol

Just noticed Mav changed up his profile pic, does that mean Bookie is gone?

@Maverick I vote Tre or Farniok. Both played well, unfortunately 1 got injured.

Heckuva match between Nadal/Muller. Reminding me of the Isner win 6-7 years ago

Nice profile pic Macroboy, just like a liberal to make fun of two guys by depicting them as gay lovers and belittling the LGBTQ community

I fully admit (proudly) to being a bleeding heart liberal (east coast). I have many gay friends, and I do call people out when they direct derogatory statements toward others - I've done it here multiple times. I think we'll all have to agree to disagree on the intent and tone of the photo - but I'm sorry you were offended. I'm grateful you seem to be the only one, but if you felt that it was offensive to homosexuals then we should only try to better understand. Admittedly...
-
I'm not offended by the photo. I like the Jerry Seinfeld and others like him, Louis C.K., etc., approach to comedy. I can see why the photo is funny based off of the liberal hatred for Trump. What I've witnessed are liberals being offended by people who make jokes at the expense of a gay stereotype or calling someone gay, and having zero tolerance for that humor or crack. To turn around and use a picture like that to ridicule someone is a double standard.
