I've been most impressed with Moss's play recognition especially when teams run the inside zone read. When he is the DE that they are reading he freezes and makes the QB make his decision.

Gundy and Holgorsen worked together for a year at Okie Lite. Holgorsen implemented the Okie Lite offensive scheme. I have a feeling the defensive scheme for both sides were similar since they both knew, or had some knowledge, of what the other was going to do

I was at the UCLA game and I saw a TMart that played timid??? I saw a few times where he could have pulled the ball on the zone read and the TMart we all know would have went for 40 yards. No idea why he didn't.

We expected to have struggles early on in the season defensively. I am hoping we play well this week on defense because we are going to need a big effort to win.

I can only speak for myself, but I think recruiting has picked up the past two classes. The first three were not as good....whiffs on the DL and not enough speed at LB.

Those misses on the DL had a lot of good offers at other schools. I think the recruiting the last 3-4 years has averaged on par with the best NU has done.

As much as I hate to say it, I think Taylor M needs to sit in favor of Tommie A. He certainly must be hurt because his performance has been dismal. He doesn't run which was what made up the difference in the fact he can't make the hard throws. I love the guy to death but if he needs to heal then please go next man up.
