I would rather see more consistency from Martinez, than Beck to change his plays around to satisfy people. What he is doing is working, and working well might I add. Taylor just needs to learn how to be smarter with the ball and forcing plays. The INTs and fumbles aren't even close to being Beck's fault.

That's what I mean Wages. Soccer gets a bad rap and deservedly so, there's a lot of bush league stuff. But in reality taking a cleat to the calf/knee/foot, elbows to the face/chest, and banging heads is a pretty common and painful occurrence. As well as getting under cut 3 feet in the air much like a receiver. It's a lot more physical than haters give it credit for.

I played soccer semi-professionally. It's a very physical game. Played with guys from 6 continents.

Pretty sure my Son knows I'm usually kidding when I put down soccer...It's just..And I've mentioned this to some of his coaches (At least the one from back home)..It would be a whole lot more fun if you could tackle someone.

Actually I didn't do that to my computer but I did throw our fax/copier/scanner as far as I could. It was a big one-only went about 9 feet.

As far as making "a mistake" goes, that is inaccurate. He made numerious mistakes. The bottle breaking was the last straw. Again. I knew nothing about him. I really didnt. Search the board. I never said anything one way or another about him until he was booted because he had been nothing but trouble since he got here.

That's exactly right, Count. "Big boy college football" is exactly what these guys signed up to play, and that comes with bright lights and lots of pressure. They signed up for it, and it isn't some fault of the fans'. It's what makes big-time college football great.

Thanks for the explanation guys. This was actually a pretty serious question. I really didnt understand how or why a "settlement" would be deemed inadequate. Isnt that the point of a "settlement" by both parties?

It is, but in the case of a class action type lawsuit, it's not all 4000+ people sitting down to have their input at the negotiations. So judicial oversight is used to make sure everything is alright. In this case, I believe the judge wanted more proof that this settlement was being structured in a way that would properly benefit all the people involved.

So when not everyone is directly represented in a settlement like this, our legal system says it's wise to have a judge oversee the settlement to make sure it's alright.
