The refs were a little lenient towards Troy and a little stricter towards us it felt like.  Even then, we had half a dozen chances to stop the bleeding and never stepped up.  The fact we marched right through them for our last score shows we were capable of doing that all day.  Just genuine disinterest and sloppy line play coupled with a 3rd string QB.  This sucks.

Nebraska has the talent to beat Troy at home, yes?

That talent at 2nd string you speak of, got super last year.  And in the fight to get back in playing and starting shape, they lost that battle.

We usually schedule that for a weaker team to guarantee a victory.

I typically CAN'T WAIT for these night games.  Today has mostly been MEH.

All four made it to the F4 by not fading in the spotlight.  None of them flinched against great competition.

I dislike the SEC but I think I'm probably rooting for Auburn. Super fun to watch and just outed a team without one of their top players. Now that we have Hoiberg, I wouldn't mind his son winning at MSU either. 

You're right, there really is no wrong choice to root for it seems like.

Yeah, I think they could have only gone 2-1 of the last 3, but the loss would have had to be against Penn St. A loss to Illinois is a major blow.

Can we please go back to calling it The Red River Shoot Out? That was a cool name and fitting of the Big 1w style.

Every player issued an unsportsmanlike penalty before the game after 2 little spate.  Horns down now equals a disqualification

That Kansas game will haunt us if we don't make the tourney. Really could have won that game.

Balance was key in last night's win against Michigan. They p,ayes such SMART basketball. They didn't take goofy shots, they worked to get rebounds and defense? WOW! They were stealing the ball right and left against one of the top teams in the nation!  I would like to see improvement on their free throws but other than that, stellar game!

I'm with FakeID here. Even getting boatraced by OSU isn't very instructive at this point given the massive gap between the relevance of our programs, despite Husker fan generally not wanting to acknowledge that. A close loss or an upset would be enormously encouraging, though.

I disagree.  I think it will show exactly where we are at.

Literally can't wait for it to be over.... Never felt that way before. These coaches have fielded a s#!t show.

I just find it hard how a team that was doing well defensively just collapses like that on the final drive. 

Were they playing too tight? Full of fear? It's just crazy how quickly they unraveled. It was like Colorado all over again. It's hard to figure out how to play in that situation when you haven't been in that situation at all. But still...

I just hope people aren't still expecting that big 2019

We did leave a lot of points on the field with bad decisions.  We knew that was probably what we were in for with a true freshman QB.  Good thing is, he should only get better as he learns when to throw it away, when to tuck it and run etc.

I'm assuming a postseason ban? Which should open a spot for someone..

I'm sure they'll have plenty of company when all of the penalties fall.

I thought we'd roll S. Alabama, thought we'd beat Colorado, thought we'd play a tight game against Northern Illinois, and thought we'd roll Illinois.

OSU lays an egg once a year. Why not in Lincoln this time around?
