QMany
I think this thread is almost to the point where it's time for nothing but hilarious Manti meme .gifs. I thought that's what my ESPN Sportscenter screenshot was? Quote Link to comment
ZRod
The fact that Manti was an Academic All-American is hilarious and an indictment on Notre Dame. There are a lot of really dumb smart people out there. It's the difference between book smarts and street smarts. Quote Link to comment

True2tRA
Okay, so ESPN does a story about Te'o's dead girlfriend during the week leading up to the Heisman. Then, ESPN breaks a story shortly after that the girlfriend never existed. Then news broke that the girlfriend does exist, but it's just some random girls photos being used as the girlfriend that the girl never really knew Te'o. Turns out Te'o's girlfriend is actually a boyfriend fooling Manti into believing he was a girl. Then news breaks these 1000 hours of phone conversations were actually between two men, one pretending to be the voice of a woman, who doesn't even exist. One day later, news is breaking that it turns out the "man" on the phone, was actually a woman, but no the woman they thought existed when originally talking to Manti about his girlfriend. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment

husker_99
Manti Te'o is a mormon so why wouldn't he believe some messed up bullsh#t that makes no sense? 1 Quote Link to comment
Notre Dame Joe
Manti Te'o is a mormon so why wouldn't he believe some messed up bullsh#t that makes no sense? Two centuries of dealing with angry trolls? Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Heard on espn radio tonight that Ronihave Tuiasashitforbrains will do an interview with none other than Dr Phil. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Again, just because you find the explanations hard to believe, doesn't mean they're not true. Most of these Catfish things are incredibly twisted, and typically in the same way. True, it doesn't mean they're not true. But Te'o has admitted to lying and the last two "revelations" are entirely contradictory. So forgive us if we've finding it hard to believe much of anything. Quote Link to comment
Muck
ESPN ticker said "Ronaiah had dramatic voice training." They are turning into Fox/MSNBC (pick your poison). Turning into?! ESPN was nothing more than tabloid entertainment long before either of those entities existed. Quote Link to comment
ZRod
So I was drunkenly reading the ESPN ticker while watching the X games last night and it said something to the effect that it was actually a female cousin's voice not Raniah. And here it is on espn. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8880021/ronaiah-tuiasosopo-cousin-was-voice-talking-manti-teo-report Quote Link to comment
T_O_Bull
Talk about a story that is fuled by the 9 - 10 day lull between the conference championships and the Super Bowl. The kid gotpunked. Surprised Ashton Kucher isn't involved. T_O_B Quote Link to comment
Notre Dame Joe
I tuned out the story this weekend because so many of the daily updates like "it was a male voice" turn out to be wrong two days later. The worst part is that for the rest of his life, people will casually google up articles written in the thick of things and have no idea that parts of them got debunked. Quote Link to comment
