NUance
THis is exactly how I feel about the first half. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
He's never seen the jet sweeps or the end arounds from Minnesota? I've actually watched a few of the games, they are ALL on film, same exact plays. I'm calling BS on the convo with Bo. Quote Link to comment
The King
Surprised we aren't getting blown out. Quote Link to comment
Karawithasmile
Bo didn't really have an answer for Martinez's lack of run game, did he? Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Anyone else wonder what might happened if Martinez runs that ball? Probably the right decision, considering we had no TO left, but he probably would have gotten a first down at least. I agree. Too risky without a timeout. Quote Link to comment
The Duke
2nd Quarter Impressions: Nebraska came crashing back down to earth and started looking more like a Bo Pelini coached Nebraska team...unfortunately. Serious question for Tim Beck; Do you really think Taylor Martinez is a drop-back passer, and do you really think that gives you the best chance to win??? When Minnesota is out rushing Nebraska in the first half, serious changes need to be made. Sadly, again when our defense on paper has more talent than an opposing team we can make them look vastly superior to us. The lack of aggression, getting off blocks, not flying to the football, and giving up big plays on 4th down is simply unacceptable. If Nebraska loses this game, consider Bo back on the hot seat. On the positive note...maybe Pat Smith is gaining some confidence. What I would like to see in the 2nd half: The speed option is working...bring in a quarterback who can really run it. It's time to live or die with Tommy Armstrong. Why bring in Tommy? If Taylor can't run its a 10 vs. 11 kind of game. We must have mobility at the QB position to make it 11 on 11. Get into bigger sets, either 2 tight end sets or I-formation and start running right at Minnesota, followed with misdirection / play-action bootleg plays. Strap the chin-straps down tight everyone...it's going to be a long 2nd half I think. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Once again, the team shows up to win, not to play. There's a very different mindset between Minnesota and Nebraska. Minnesota is playing over their heads for their ailing coach. Nebraska is going through the motions. Quote Link to comment
Ziebol
Losing to one of the worst teams in the B1G on ESPN, and we wonder why AP hates us. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Holtz....lol. Quote Link to comment
Army_Allen
He throws a nice high ball where only Kenny can nab it and it's still his fault? Kenny has been off this year for some reason.... For real? Bell skies for it and gets two finger tips to it and it's KBs fault? Ok. Two finger tips? LMAO two hands is not fingertips. Are you seriously saying a WR shouldn't be expected to catch that? Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
I hope Kenny B gets his head on the 2nd half. He's not his usual self and we'll need him to hang on to those balls. Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
"They threw some stuff at us we were not expecting .. " Such as running it down your throat? This is Minnesota's offense. Running the football. Has been all year. The sad thing is, Minnesota isn't doing anything creative or even fancy. They are lining up man on man and just kicking our butts. Quote Link to comment
Army Husker
Bottle of vodka....check......straw....check. You won't do it! ;-) Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
the train wreck is these light weight Husker fans....it's getting embarrassing. Excuse me? It's embarrassing that I'm frustrated watching this team constantly crap the bed? I don't mind losing....it's...aw hell what's the point. You're one of those sunshine pumpers that bitches whenever anyone takes issue with poor play from the football team...enjoy sloppy football if you want. I want to see better effort and focus. +1 and way to call it like you see it brother. you two should get together and cry at halftime. Nah, we'll just call you out on your BS the rest of the day. Keep pumping your sunshine. Quote Link to comment
strigori
Bo sounds dazed. When your leader is dazed and confused, its time for a new leader. Quote Link to comment
