Treand3
He's from Atlanta, hopefully he has some inroads still down in the South. Have a feeling he's still pretty well connected in these parts. Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
Not an exciting hire but I hope it works out. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
If you're a football recruiting coordinator at AF you dont really do much. These kids are being recruited to be in the AF and football is a perk. Much more important things than football for an AF student. They are not just committing for 4 years. Now saying that, i'd rather have a good DB coach than a good recruiter and im glad to see Bo go "outside the family." And with new recruiting dept it shouldnt be as big of a deal, if we ever get it up and running! So far behind on that it isnt funny. I also like the fact he will be bringing his military background and can hopefully help with ingraining the importance of discipline, work ethic, and teamwork. Yeah, I'm sure recruiting at the service academies isn't the same as the rest of college football but there is at least some experience in that department. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
He's not one of Bo's buddies and he has experience. What are people going to complain about now? Exactly. Probably the last three or four guys fit that description but that won't stop people from complaining about it. Quote Link to comment
husker_fan_from_sweden
Still trust this hire will mean an accountable and top teir secondary group for years to come, have the utmost respect for graduates of the academy. Quote Link to comment
lo country
I am not to worried about his ability to recruit. To get an 18 year old to come to a school where education and service take priority over athletics is huge. Going through the plebe year with all the crap that goes with it and still agreeing to play ball is a sale accomplished by a great salesman. I hope it works. I was shocked at the RF hire and he was a huge surprise and one of the best hires by Bo. Wonder how Bo found him? 1 Quote Link to comment

If I go ahead and complain now, will it stop any more posts about how many people will find something to complain about? Doesn't seem very productive or conducive to conversation. Complain, blah blah, complaining.......not happy....more complaining......f'ing fair weather DB coaches .....complain.... There....I took care of that for ya. 1 Quote Link to comment

Charlton Warren @CoachCwarrenDec 6 Man, what a great week of recruiting in the ATL! AF Falcons are getting better w/ each commit from the Peach State!! Who's next to join us! Charlton Warren @CoachCwarrenDec 13 Nothing like a full day of watching GA HS state championship games in the Dome! 2 Quote Link to comment
mnhusker
Maybe being with the military guys he can bring some fire to Bo's calm demeanor. 2 Quote Link to comment

shyndy
i wonder if there is any promise of him being able to be co-d coord or anything else in the future, I know its airforce but hes kind of taking a step down from DC and associate HC Quote Link to comment

kozzman555
Ok, their pass defense was generally good. But I'd like to know what their rush defense ranking was. Was it so bad that teams simply didn't have to pass the ball and could just run the ball down their throats? Quote Link to comment

Unsure of rush vs pass yards. <img class="UMSRatingIcon" id="ums_img_tooltip" /> Quote Link to comment
robsker
Warren sounds like a great choice on paper. he is experienced as a secondary coach --- has had great success there. he has experience as a DC too. And his military background probably (one one think) means he is disciplined, demanding and has a good sense of authoritarian presence. All these things make it appear (on paper --- which is all we have now) to make this a promising hire. Well done Bo... you did not go with an inexperienced buddy who was not qualified. This guy is DOUBTLESS well qualified. Of course, I hope he does very well... and anticipate that he will. Quote Link to comment
