He'll be back next year. Minimal changes will be made.

This is such a destination job that the last time we fired a 9 win coach, when we still were Nebraska, we got Billy C.

We're not 2 years removed from a NC game appearance at this time. Fire him and you'll regret it.

Jeez I didn't realize that if we fired a coach we automatically get another Billy C. Thanks for clearing that up.

If we fire a winning coach, the likelihood of a good coach wanting to come here are close to 0. It's why we ended up with Callahan.

If you guys are so sure that Pelini's ceiling is 9-10 wins why not wait for the enevitable losing season you claim we are going to have and then fire him.

That won't happen because of three OOC games against crappy teams and then playing in the horrible B1G West where you are given wins against Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, and either Rutgers, Maryland or Indiana from the East. It would take an epic collapse for NU to have a losing record against that kind of a schedule. That is why 9 wins vs this schedule means that your program is the definition of mediocre. Any coach can do it and we need someone that can get us over the hump and back to at least being relevant in our own conference.

If what you say is true, more coaches would have the same success that Bo has. If any coach can do it, why are there are there so few schools that consistently get at least 9 wins.

That is because not everyone coaches at a program has the advantages that Nebraska has. That is the problem, every coaching staff since Tom's has failed to maximize the support that this program has for different reasons. You can take just about any average coach and get 9 wins with this program in this conference. That is why 9 wins is meaningless when you don't beat anyone with a heartbeat and get embarrassed by those that do on a yearly basis.

Regardless of what happens tomorrow, lets enjoy this one.

Husker fans...admit this. Through all the BS, through all the disappointment, that was fun. That game was what a rivalry should be. That was how a marquee black Friday game should look. And what else should college football be for us as fans than fun.

I had a blast today. Thankyou Big Red.

Because there are only a limited number of coaching positions in the B1G West.

Because you are right now defining success as 9 or more wins per season consecutively for the first 7 years of a tenure. That is your only metric of success right now. Which is the stupidest thing I've heard all day.

I voted no.

A staff overhaul would be interesting. However, I'm very skeptical Bo would fit as a "CEO-type" head coach. If he was the least bit interested in doing that, he would have hired qualified coordinators instead of promoting his unqualified pals in the first place.

Forcing him to take a back seat might be an even bigger disaster than him wanting to micro-manage.

Iowa should not be referred to as Nebraska's rival. Not today, not tomorrow, not for another decade.

Don't fall for the artificiality of it all. Let it build on its own.

Very, very good point.

Mistakes are acceptable. Frankly, losing to Minnesota like we did, if wasn't for the Wisconsin loss, well, sometimes games against good teams break that way. That happens.

It's that when we lose, normally, it isn't just a hard fought, tough loss. It is an absolute massacre. 59-24. 70-31. 52-17. 48-21. 35-14. How is that acceptable?

My god we are the only team in America that are not aloud to make mistakes during a game. Can't wait to see Bo back next year just to see all the whining, let's boy cot, baby fans fill up their bottles and whine some more. You guys want whine with your cheese go cheer on Wisconsin.

Of course teams make mistakes, but good ones make minimal mistakes and great ones rarely do.

And it's allowed, not aloud and boycott is one word, not two, just saying....

Losses happen. blow outs happen. Hard fought losses happen. I hate losing just as much as everyone. DPE was the goat last week and a hero this week. He don't fumble twice we beat Minnesota. It happens.
