QMany
@Rose_IveyNB15: the vibe is similar to the Ohio st situation but college football is a business and the minute you forget that you messed up @elee22_21: An eventful Friday it is.... Quote Link to comment
BIG ERN
Warren rejoins UNC head coach Larry Fedora, who coached the quarterbacks and receivers in 1997-1998 at Air Force when Warren played there. Warren will also be reunited with former NU defensive coordinator John Papuchis, who was recently hired as a defensive assistant on UNC's staff. Quote Link to comment
STL Husker
He's a position coach with no prior ties to Nebraska. This was going to happen at some point and it shouldn't hurt us as bad this thread makes it seems. I have faith in Riley to find a competent replacement. Good luck to Warren. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
This will lead to the team searching for its 5th secondary coach in 6 years. Balls. We need some continuity at that position. I really feel sorry for this group. I don't understand how one position can be so hard to keep a coach for. Quote Link to comment
Ric Flair
Well that sucks. We need to get a stable staff in place. Some turnover is to be expected, but this is ridiculous. Quote Link to comment

I know we will find a replacement equal or greater than Warren however a little continuity at a position would be nice. Good news is that everyone will be starting with a completely clean slate. Yeah I definitely agree that continuity would be nice, but there really wasn't going to be a whole lot of that with a new head coach. I think it's better for continuity for him to go now instead of next year. I just feel bad for the recruits who thought they were going to play for him. 1 Quote Link to comment
The Maudfather
Scott Frost to NU as secondary coach confirmed? Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
Maybe we should just turnover position coaches every other year, I mean that group is arguably the best position group Quote Link to comment
QMany
Grant Bachman @GAbachman 1h1 hour ago @GarySharp1620 really? I didn't see it coming. You saying this was expected? Gary Sharp @GarySharp1620 1h1 hour ago @GAbachman he was upfront on the process Man, if only there were radio/media personalities that supposedly knew about this that could have shared the news. 1 Quote Link to comment

It's odd that NU has had so much turnover at one position coach the past few years, but it does happen. Quote Link to comment
QMany
Turnover isn't odd. Turnover is odd when the rest of the staff was let go and you were retained. You secure early enrollees, continue recruiting/signing a new class, and then leave 9 days after National Signing Day. It seems odd and/or unethical. 3 Quote Link to comment

I didn't like it when other programs had coaches leave soon after signing day, and it's too bad that it now is happening at NU. Who knows what type of "agreement" that Warren or Riley had. Maybe Warren was offered this job late in the process, but wanted to help Riley out and keep the recruits at NU. Warren is doing what is best for him and his family. It's tough for me to blame him for doing that. Quote Link to comment
QMany
Samuel McKewon @swmckewonOWH 2m2 minutes ago Riley's most recent DBs coach at Oregon State was Rod Perry. Wasn't retained by Beavers. Not sure where he landed, if anywhere, yet. Quote Link to comment
