ADS
Sucks to lose out on Lewis. But a lot of respect for the kid and how he handled everything. Best of luck at SC. 1 Quote Link to comment
ScottyIce
I'm sorry, but Lindsey is a recruit like lewis. Different style but just as deadly. Quote Link to comment

In the Deed the Glory
Hearing he wants to come here but is being prevented. Damn shame if true. Hearing the same. Pressure from others to stay close. That is too bad. Quote Link to comment

Savage Husker
Listed as a "boom or bust" recruit. Have heard this before, but now personally reading by a national sportswriter. Says he shows up for game day, but leading up to, he doesn't work. Notes the Army AA as an example. Plus, a couple notes on Ben Miles and Elijah Blades  https://n.rivals.com/news/national-signing-day-2017-farrell-awards 1 Quote Link to comment

So Lewis is good at football, but they are worried he will no longer be good at football because he isn't thrilled with running around cones at camps they sponsor? He'll be very good. And in the NFL. If he doesn't have that passion and does/did normally waif around during the week and only showed up for games, then thats a bad habit that could be hard to break. He has all the talent in the world, but a lot of talented players don't make it if they also don't want to work hard. Quote Link to comment
ScottyIce
The toughest part of his recruitment is the amount of time Nebraska put into getting him here. His heart is at Nebraska just like Calvin's is. USC did not recruit him anywhere near as hard as Nebraska did and he knows that. USC slow played him considering his talent and proximity. If he stays, its because someone else convinced him too. He settled to make others around him happy. It is a shame. http://www.latimes.com/sports/highschool/varsity-times/la-sp-vi-hawkins-football-20170214-story.html  Hmm, makes me think Vincent knows some stuff like he says... Quote Link to comment

People close to it confirmed as much. Location and record were not even remotely a factor. USC did their USC thing and that's that. 1 Quote Link to comment

But I don't think that article says anything about Lewis and Johnson other than they signed with USC.  If you're trying to use that article as proof you're WAAAAY over-stressing one sentence to fit what you want it to say. 1 Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
Yea I agree while I do think there is truth to what Vince is saying, I don't think the article posted corroborated any of that. It really had nothing to do with Lewis or Johnson at all Quote Link to comment
