Vitalis Jackson
It's sure gonna be great when these seniors graduate. Newby's remarkable, though; he's played in every game in his career, and gone to the sideline with an injury twice as many times. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan74
I just can't believe we are losing to Iowa. They are not that good. We are just not competing. I love this team and I bleed husker red and it hurts me when I see my team get manhandled like this. I really hope we turn things around in the second half but the team seems to be playing very timid and scared. Just not the correct attitude for us to pull this game. 2 Quote Link to comment
southernoregonhusker
Voice of reason here. TOMMY ARMSTRONG IS A WARRIOR. He has given EVERYTHING he has to the team and shouldn't be bashed like he is here. He is the best option for us RIGHT NOW! I love Tommy. He is the toughest man alive. He is a great zone-read QB. It's not his fault that he is being coached by morons. All he can do is go out and try to execute the game plan he is given. If he is not doing what the coaches want, then perhaps his offensive coordinator and QB coach (cough, cough Langs), could coach him to do the right thing. Or come up with a game plan that plays to his strengths. He can't run and he can't throw and, somehow, that's the coaches' fault? Flawed logic that. 1 Quote Link to comment
MLB 51
So, how's it going?Nicht so gutDas spiel ist sehr shadeIch stimme voll und ganz zuWit sehen schrecklich aus........ Schmerzlich wahr Quote Link to comment
The Duke
I'm willing to give Banker another year. The defense has made drastic improvements since last year. Langsdorf's offense hasn't impressed me these 2 seasons. I wouldn't shed a tear if Riley made a change here...he won't do it, but one can dream. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Well, last year we blamed Iowa's long plays on Gerry getting kicked out and the team not buying in..... Quote Link to comment
Vitalis Jackson
I just don't understand why they keep going for the Home Run ball. The short passes seem to be working. take it out in chunks. Because these coaches don't operate on common sense. They are opposed to using common sense. In all truthiness, though, many of these players just aren't that good. Quote Link to comment
lo country
This team just sadly played an entire half with a "ho-hum" attitude. You cannot win championship level football with that kind of attitude. You need a confident, border-line nasty, fire-in-your-belly, PHYSICAL attitude in a 3 phases of the game. Nebraska's got a long way to go folks. then when the camera pans to the sideline. Everybody has "is the game over yet" look. Reilly looks like he wants to do something but can't/won't. At OSU, his guys were safe. No one was getting fired. A .500 season and a howl was awesome. Blowouts and Or that head scratching loss were expected. At NU, no way. He might finally be realizing that to stay here, his buddies need to leave.... Quote Link to comment

What do expect at QB regression U. A QB to get better ?? They peek late sophomore/early jr year then regress till there on par with a QB from waverly. Quote Link to comment
The Duke
#121 offense in the nation... Yep. Sad, but true. Time for a beer. Quote Link to comment
Husker in CA
On 1st and 2nd, Iowa is loading the box with 8 to stop our very regular zone-read run plays. On 3rd they're bringing 5 and sitting in a zone to stop the pass. Very vanilla, but definitely working against this offense. Quote Link to comment

I would hope we make improvements from probably the second-worst defense in program history. Going from terrible to average isn't much to write home about. 1 Quote Link to comment

Branno
This thread is going to turn into a dumpster fire. See y'all in the post game. Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
I'm willing to give Langs a year with Tanner Lee. We can still win this game thanks to that field goal but we need that shutdown second half d we have played nearly all season and 3 long scoring drives starting with one right out of the half we can win this game.
