Apathy
Seems like we can't win the big games and when there's something on the line, we fail to show up. Mental mistakes, miss blocks, poor angles, miss tackles. I'm sorry but it seems like Bo recruited "some" gifted athletes that lack discipline football. Sometimes I wonder if the players enjoy getting their asses kicked on national TV 1 Quote Link to comment

Decked
The passion was not there from the start today. Only one who wanted to do anything was Stan. Props to him. 4 Quote Link to comment

ColoradoHusk
I think the team hit a wall today. All the injuries and the emotional season and they just didn't have what it took to compete when going against a tough team. 3 Quote Link to comment

Knowns: Nebraska is an average team Big game -> national TV audience Tv audience -> Strong opponent Result more often than not -> Strong opponent beats average opponent Fans disapponted -> team lost Team loses big game because they are not the better team Q.E.D. 1 Quote Link to comment
4skers89
There is definitely an attitude problem that has taken root over the years. As the season plays out I believe they figure out which games they can win to get to a certain win total. The other games they just give up when things start going bad. They have no pride when it comes to getting blown out. I'm sure they are happy with their 9 wins but as fans we know they accomplished very little beyond not having a losing season. They should be unranked at seasons end unless they beat a decent team in a bowl. They will never achieve anything close to greatness until they set their goals higher. 1 Quote Link to comment

cm husker
Yes. But both teams are on scholarship. Emotion is overrated. It's about preparation and execution. And it's why the notion that an average staff could be a lot better with a better roster never really rang true for a lot of us. I don't think Riley deserves to be fired at this point, but I'm not going to pretend he has a higher ceiling than what he's demonstrated over a long career. 1 Quote Link to comment

Losing by 30 tonight was purely a product of bad coaching. THey did nothing to stem the tide with their offensive playcalling and our defensive scheme has always been flawed. It was just exposed tonight for the ridiculously vanilla, predictable system that it is. And you're nuts if you don't think championships aren't the goal, top to bottom. But guess what, championships are the goal top to bottom across college football. 1 Quote Link to comment
BaytownHusker
Some of these posters. Geeeez. Some need a life other then putting down kids and coaches. Hell I wish we were 12-0 also. But it didn't happen this year. 1 Quote Link to comment
