RedDenver
These polling number out of California are huge. If (big if) none of the other candidates can get over 15%, then Bernie will get all the delegates (416 pledged delegates). That puts Bernie in excellent position to win majority and not have contested convention. Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
As most of you know the main reason for my support of Sanders is this issue. Even if he doesnt win the nomination these results show me that the people are winning and the BS propaganda by insurance, pharma and GOP is NOT working! Even in SC, where most dems are very conservative it polls at 50%! I thought this would be the state it finally polled low but I am happily wrong. 1 Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
Biden wins SC. Probably by a large margin. This was the expected result as he was up by 54 points at one time. Problem for him is he spent all his resources in this state and has no resources for super Tuesday in 3 days. Going to be a big day for Sanders on Tuesday according to polls. Link to comment

But, I'm still hoping an Operation Chaos can deliver her a state on Tuesday. Biden's win is actually a relief. If Sanders steamrolled he could pivot to the general late as early as late next week. ActualCornHusker
Voting for Biden has to be a protest vote against the more pro(re)gressive policies of Sanders right? Creepy Joe doesn't even know where he is 90% of the time - why else would anyone vote for him? Link to comment

Yes...and because the ideas that Sanders has sound great...but are also sort of...insane. 1 Link to comment
Danny Bateman
Steyer dropped out. All in all a good night. A two man race with Biden is probably the worst case scenario for Sanders. Don't know if Biden could pull it off given how much Dems like Bernie, but probably also the best chance we have for not getting BTFO in November. Link to comment

I think a two candidate race might actually be better for Bernie as there's less candidates to split the delegates and a better chance that Bernie can win the majority outright. For that matter, it's better for Biden too. A contested convention is bad for the Dem candidate no matter how it goes. Link to comment

So all in all probably not the most clearly non-biased person to ask these questions to. But even if he was, isn't it good per the view oof you and others more conservative that Sanders and others want to emulate Sweden's SUPER NOT SOCIALIST BUT TOTALLY CAPITALIST FREE MARKET model? Doesn't that make Sanders an even better candidate? I guess I'm confused at the point being made exactly. 1 1 Link to comment

I mean...not if he is calling it the wrong name and doesn't seem to know the difference and thinks it is something totally different than what it really is and what he has stood for his entire life. If anything, that is scary as f#&%. 1 Link to comment

Jesus... the point is that in hopes of "emulating Sweden" and other nordic countries, Bernie only wants to emulate the government run parts, and he conveniently leaves out the parts where the nordic countries have freer and more open markets than America, lower corporate tax rates, and no minimum wage in many of those countries. It's almost as if Bernie is just a tyrant who advocates for the government takeover of entire industries... 1 Link to comment
