I just am not okay with players saying they can squat X amount and its not a legit sguat. 1 Quote Link to comment

What do you expect them to say? “Well the angle of my knees to hips was 10% so it wasn’t quite parallel but I lifted 8 plates.” I mean, that’s silly. They are answering the question they’re asked. 5 1 Quote Link to comment

My thoughts exactly. And hey if that's what a squat is to them, then that's what it is. And from what I can tell they pretty much do full squats. So idk what all this 1/4 squat talk is. Do you expect them to ruin their knees and have their a$$ touch the floor? Noooo thank you 1 Quote Link to comment

In the Deed the Glory
Who in the actual f#&% cares how they do the squats? As far as I'm concerned, they can lift cement weights shaped like head-less Pteranodons tied to their ears if it means more football wins, and Duval knows how to train players to get more football wins. All I care about. 4 Quote Link to comment

teachercd
I feel like any lifting talk should have its own forum in the PR section...it seems to be just as divisive. Quote Link to comment

I hope we build something that has Clemson coming to look at it in a few years. 2 Quote Link to comment
BIG ERN
Honest question. How often do we work on flexibility and conditioning? I do see some gains and some kids it is hard with body types but nothing I hate more than guys who have no fluidity. Quote Link to comment
MJM 1
I think all that is concentrated on is pure power lifting. Really bragging on how much weight a player can lift. How many power lifters are in pro/ college football? None because they can't move, no flexibility, slow. Hmmm... 3 Quote Link to comment
