Key words depending on how many can be persuaded

I cannot believe the number of people in my circle that are saying no way in hell

if i recall correctly 1 of the issues with covid is micro clotting (is that the right term?)   and diabetics have circulation issues...so i can see it accelerating the diabetes

Thanks. Crazy the way this bug affects some people in such a dire way, when a lot of others don't even know they've had it

My daughter just finished her 10 day and would never have gotten tested if not for a person close to her being positive.  She would never have known based on symptoms.

That’s me and It does have the best healthcare system in the world.

Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Yes, all those citizens in nordic countries starting GoFundMe pages because of medical costs.

It's an amazing system we have here, I attended a cancer benefit last year to raise money for a family friend. Totally a great system. Especially because we spend more money than anywhere in the world.

I thought some said socialist healthcare systems are the best in the world

Not all single payer systems are the same. But I seem to remember Sweden having pretty good healthcare.

And political/societal decisions on virus spread can overwhelm even the best healthcare system.

How is it possible that a position this high ranking doesn't have insurance with an out of pocket max?

Also, this is the first I have heard/seen of Covid accelerating diabetes to the point of losing a limb. Is that now a thing?

That is a great question, and I don't know the answer. But I do know that a country with our resources should be able to do better, especially by someone like this guy.

You kind of missed the boat on the post you quoted.

The Swedish healthcare system getting overrun due to an out of control herd immunity approach is maybe not what you should use to compare the quality of care between the US and Sweden. It’s not really apples to apples or even fruit to fruit.

If you think the US has the best healthcare system in the world, you apparently have not had to use it much or pay for it.  We’ve also got some of the best oceanfront property in the world. I’ve got some for sale here in north central Colorado if you’re interested.

Estimated 50 million have already had Covid-19 plus the pediatrics that won’t get vaccinated because of labeling right now means if half the eligible population gets vaccinated we would be on track.

Ok but half the eligible population isn't 70% of people getting vaccinated. Its half of eligible people getting vaccinated.

Anyone on the board know anything about this?

i don't know anything about that...but at first glance i would say the best healthcare system in the world can't use the best test in the world.  is that the fault of the government or the healthcare system?

Way to advance the conversation.  Congrats.  Happy for you that you were able to get that in.

Don’t need much more than 1/2 the eligible population.  seroprevalence studies published in NEMJ, JAMA show 50-80 million have already been infected.  Pediatrics aren’t big vectors so they don’t matter vaccine wise

Studies show the amount of people willing to get vaccinated are already almost 60%.  After first round shows safety, combined with public pressure and Private company mandates, more people will get on board.  If people don’t take it, the rest of us get it sooner
