not me
I listen to the GM shuffle podcast and Michael Lombardi talks a lot about the middle 8 minutes of the game. The 4 minutes before and after half time. These really matter for setting the tone and can win games. It's all about either lining up two scoring opportunities for your team or preventing the other team from getting those two in a row if you aren't receiving in the second half. I don't agree with him on everything, but I do think this matters. We just slopped our way through the first 4 and if the offense doesn't come out and score in the 3rd quarter, we'll have 100% lost the middle 8. Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
I really miss being positive about a Nebraska team, it's been so long since i have been able to say we played well in all facets of the game, not a single time in the 4 years of Frost have we had one. 2 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Recruiting under Frost has suffered. His neglect for special teams recruiting both in terms of players and a designated coach has cost us so many games. That is squarely on Frost. EngineeringHusker
I love that our punters do a rugby style punt or try and pooch it to avoid a touchback- which never works. When they actually try to bomb it goes 7 yards. Maybe they should switch their techniques around. Quote Link to comment
The Scarlet Pimpernel
In the prediction thread I predicted another heartbreaking close loss due to the same undisciplined, sloppiness we've all grown accustomed to, and I was ridiculed for it. Seems like a pretty accurate prediction so far. 1 Quote Link to comment
308_Husker
As many mistakes as we have made in the first half, we are only down by 3 at half and we get the ball back. We have a huge opportunity to make a statement in the second half. This team has to dig deep and take that next step. We have the better team. Go out there and execute and fix the mistakes and I think we get out of East Lansing with a win. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Martinez seems completely incompetent at playing QB straight up in this type of offense but he can make some incredible things happen with his athleticism. He would have been a megastar if he played for Osborne or Solich or any coach who would be willing to play to his strengths. 3 Quote Link to comment

Yeah, but I was still kinda expecting someone to scoop it up and run down the sidelines for 6, with the way our special teams have been playing. 2 Quote Link to comment
commando
we played very poorly on the road again st a top 20 team....and are down only 3. how good could this team be if we stopped tripping over our own dicks all the time? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I don't know how anyone can explain this. At some point the players just have to make the plays. Quote Link to comment

We just absolutely refuse to play discipline football. Quote Link to comment
