Against OU, there was a play where the guard was supposed to get to the second level and block the MLB. He releases to the second level, but he sort of half asses it to the MLB and doesn't get the block. The MLB makes the tackle on the outside for no gain. I believe this is what he's talking about. The guard looked like he was hesitant....why? He obviously knew he was supposed to go get the MLB. Why not go 100 mph and do everything you can to get there? If you miss, then at least you gave it your all. This could make sense. And maybe they're just scared out there, with a 'deer in the headlights' thing going on. Quote Link to comment

All three of those takes us to 5 wins. Then we'd need one out of two against Wisconsin & Iowa. Same basic theatre every year; we have to claw back and scrap to even have any hope of getting to 6 wins. this team is more than capable of beating michigan... really ohio state is the only one that would be a big shock if we won 3 1 Quote Link to comment

However player accountability within the team worked pretty well at one time. The Peter Bros and Wistrom had a code thing going on that seemed to work for those teams? Quote Link to comment

I think it works better when you have a superstar like a Wistrom and then the Peter bros. They don't have any of those on the team right now. They don't have the one guy dominating and not making a ton of mistakes of his own. Easier to dismiss a guy who is on the same playing level as you. 1 Quote Link to comment
